Day 11 Recap | GOP Taipei 2026 Final Day
The curtain came down on the inaugural Gods of Poker Taipei on Day 11, with the final two gauntlet events crowned at the CTP Asia Poker Arena . The GOP Taipei High Roller and the Kraken Stack both reached their conclusions, delivering a fitting finish to a series that had steadily built momentum across eleven days of play.
GOP High Roller Crowned
The final gauntlet of the series was claimed by Thailand’s Rangka Teeraphat, who emerged victorious in the GOP High Roller after a six-hour final day battle. Teeraphat overcame a tough lineup and multiple momentum swings to secure the Gold Gauntlet along with the TWD 1,814,320 top prize.
Seven players returned for the final day from a field of 49 total entries, each already guaranteed a payout from the TWD 5,080,320 prize pool. Teeraphat began the day as the shortest stack but wasted little time turning the tables. On the opening hand, he cracked John Niko Costiniano ’s pocket aces with a flush to climb back into contention.
Costiniano and Piet Pape both spent time at the top of the counts as the field thinned. Costiniano eliminated Terry Gonzaga and Marc Rivera to assert control, while Pape surged after outkicking Andrew Han in a key pot. Four-handed play saw Pape send Seung Hyuk Jung to the rail, setting up a tense three-handed stretch.
The momentum shifted sharply when Costiniano’s shove ran into Pape’s overpair that improved to a full house, ending Costiniano’s run in third place. Heads up play opened with Teeraphat holding the chip advantage, though Pape briefly seized control before Teeraphat found a critical double with king-jack. From there, Teeraphat regained command and closed out the title when his full house bested Pape to seal the win.

Heng Zhe Hu Unleashes the Kraken
The Kraken Stack delivered one of the most dominant performances of the entire series, with Heng Zhe Hu bulldozing through the final table to claim the trophy and the TWD 766,500 first prize.
The Kraken drew 117 entries across its two-day run, creating a TWD 3,000,000 prize pool. Eighteen players returned for the final day already in the money, and within three hours the field had been reduced to a final table. From there, Hu took complete control.

Once play reached eight-handed, Hu eliminated every remaining opponent in under an hour. He bad-beat Chaehu Ryu with ace-three against ace-ten, then cracked Yat Hei Lui’s pocket tens by pairing the queen after shoving queen-five offsuit. With a commanding stack, Hu applied relentless pressure, knocking out Brendan McManus, Sai Hung Li, and Yohn Paredes in rapid succession.
Seokyoung Lee fell in third place after his queen-jack failed to improve against Hu’s ace-eight, setting up a brief heads up duel. Meng Xuan Ang managed to claim one uncalled shove but was eliminated moments later when her ace-nine was outdrawn, allowing Hu to complete the sweep and lock up the Kraken title.
Final Day Winners at GOP Taipei
The final trophies of GOP Taipei were handed out on Day 11, closing the awards shelf in emphatic fashion. Ma. Arlene Rivera continued her remarkable run by capturing her fifth Aphrodite Mirror of the series, while Alfie Adam added a fourth mixed-game title to his tally. Additional victories came from Cheng Feng Chiu, Kil Soo Kim, Tom Verbruggen, Santi Adultrakul, Yew Fatt Kan, and Sung Jin Yun, rounding out a diverse and competitive final day.
With the final gauntlets awarded and the trophies packed away, the curtain officially falls on Gods of Poker Taipei 2026. What began as a new chapter on the GOP calendar quickly established its own identity, delivering big fields, deep structures, and a steady stream of standout performances across eleven days of play at the CTP Asia Poker Arena.

Player of the Series
At the end of an eleven-day grind, the Player of the Series crown belonged to Martijn Gerrits , whose consistency across the schedule proved impossible to match. Gerrits racked up 24,525 points, built on a remarkable 14 cashes and five titles, underlining just how relentless his run was from start to finish. Even when his winning streak finally cooled, the damage had already been done.

Attention now turns to the next stop on the Gods of Poker circuit with GOP Phnom Penh 2026: The Coiled Path , running from March 26 to April 5, 2026 at NagaWorld Cambodia. Set in the heart of Cambodia’s capital, the series promises another full schedule of major events, signature trophies, and the same competitive edge that defined the Taipei stop.
