The headline story of the night belonged to Taiwan’s Chih Feng Li , who captured his second title of the festival in the GOP Olympians. This event stood as the first major milestone of the series, drawing 351 entries across six flights to create a substantial prize pool of TWD 3,639,168 (~US$ 115,020) breaking the initial guarantee of TWD 3,000,000.

Final Table Summary

GOP Olympians Final Table
GOP Olympians Final Table – GOP Taipei 2026

The final table started fast, with players being eliminated almost immediately. Wei Kai Lin was the first to leave in 9th place. Not long after, Kongjaroentin Tanik was knocked out in 8th place, followed by Chia Chaing Ko in 7th place as the field quickly dropped to six players.

The pace stayed high when Terry Gonzaga pulled off a huge hand, cracking Chuang Lin Cheng ’s pocket queens with pocket fours to send him out in 6th place and briefly take the chip lead. Shun Yi Zheng then went on a strong run before Fong Shaing Li moved into first. A massive hand soon turned the table upside down when Heng Zhe Hu was eliminated in 5th place after his pocket aces lost to Chih Feng Li’s quad fives. During the same hand, Fong ran out of time and was forced to fold ace-king.

With four players remaining, the chip lead kept changing hands. Gonzaga broke the stalemate by eliminating Fong in 4th place with pocket kings beating pocket fives, but his lead didn’t last long after a failed bluff cost him chips. Zheng took control, doubling up before sending Gonzaga out in 3rd place to head into heads-up play with a big advantage.
