Gods of Poker

Gods of Poker (GOP), the new Asia-based poker tour founded by veteran tournament director Lloyd Fontillas, is officially launching with a bold vision – to bring back the fun, fairness, and community spirit that have defined the best poker experiences over the last decade.

“If you love good poker, great people, and the feeling that you’re part of something, this is the tour you’ve been waiting for.”

Supported by regional powerhouses Chinese Texas Hold’em Poker Club (CTP), Japan Poker Player Services (JPPS), Hong Kong Poker Players Association (HKPPA), and DK Poker Tour Booking , along with iPoker as its official online partner, GOP enters the scene with unified industry support and a calendar anchored by three flagship events.

Gods of Poker

Every stop on the GOP calendar will showcase a slate of premium mid-to-high-stakes tournaments designed for the dedicated traveling player. Buy-ins are strategically aligned with Asia’s most respected tours, ensuring prize pools not only match elite standards but also reward the commitment it takes to play them.

More than just numbers on a payout sheet, these events are crafted to deliver meaningful competition, where preparation meets opportunity, and only skill and endurance determine who comes out on top.

The Exclusive Cronus Structure

At the heart of GOP’s debut is its exclusive Cronus Structure – named after the Ruler of the Titans and God of Time – created to restore fairness, pace, and depth to tournament play.

Designed to eliminate the overly long, grind-heavy early levels and last-minute short-stack entries, this structure keeps the action meaningful from the first deal, while preserving the integrity and competitive nature of the game.

Registration closes after just two levels, ensuring a level playing field for all participants. The three numbers in each format represent the number of big blinds in the opening levels through registration close:

  • Main Event, High Roller Specials & Key Events – 120-60-30 structure
  • Turbos – 100-50-25 structure
  • Titan Stack – 160-80-40 structure
  • Kraken Stack – 200-100-50 structure

This streamlined approach can save up to four hours of play time depending on the format, while still providing late registrants with a strong starting stack to begin with.

Paired with GOP’s player-friendly schedule of post-lunch starts, each series gives attendees the freedom to balance their poker grind with leisure – from sightseeing and nightlife to even sharing a friendly meal with Fontillas before cards go in the air.

Main Event – Built for Players

Every GOP Main Event is crafted to deliver the best of both worlds, tailored to give players exactly the experience they’re looking for.

The first three flights take on a more traditional route, playing down to the money in a single day, each estimated to be significantly shorter than the usual fourteen-hour marathon grind. The final flight plays over two days to make it past the money line, with one-hour levels after registration. closes — perfect for players who love the deep-play experience.

iPoker Partnership

GOP’s momentum is powered by its major sponsor, iPoker, whose global platform opens the door for players from all corners of the poker world. Through targeted online satellites and exclusive GOP Quest runs, players can win tournament dollars redeemable at any GOP stop on the calendar — creating affordable, accessible pathways into the tour’s premium live events.

By leveraging its vast network, iPoker extends GOP’s reach far beyond the host cities, enabling players from across continents to secure their seats and join the action. Beyond these qualifiers, iPoker is laying the groundwork for even bigger opportunities, including the potential launch of a dedicated GOP Online Series, further uniting live and online poker under one banner.

Leadership & Team

Lloyd Fontillas takes the helm as Founder, General Manager, and Executive Tournament Director, with Ray Chiu serving as CEO. Backed by the same trusted tournament crew behind some of Asia’s most prestigious poker events, GOP guarantees seamless operations, warm hospitality, and a welcoming, family-like atmosphere. On top of this, brand ambassadors will be on site to keep the energy vibrant, foster genuine connections, and create unforgettable moments for every player who walks through the door.

Our goal is simple – to create the most loved and fun-filled event for the world to experience.”

2026 and Beyond

Following its first three anchor events, GOP is set to expand its footprint with five additional festivals across Taiwan, South Korea, and the Philippines. The complete 2026 schedule will be released before the end of 2025, confirming GOP’s long-term commitment to growing the live poker scene in Asia.
