Andrew Shelton Pulls $1 Million Bounty in WSOP Mini Mystery Millions
Andrew Shelton produced one of the early viral moments of the 2026 World Series of Poker after pulling the top $1,000,000 bounty in Event #1: $550 Mini Mystery Millions.
The $550 buy-in event drew a massive field of 20,488 entries, creating a combined bounty/payout prize pool of $7,746,082. With around 100 players remaining in the hunt for the bracelet, Shelton took the walk up to the stage and locked up the biggest mystery bounty prize available.
Shelton Calls His Shot Before $1,000,000 Reveal

The dramatic moment came on the WSOP stage with host Jeff Platt leading the reveal.
Before the envelope was opened, Platt said everyone would love to see a one as the first number, with the $1,000,000 bounty being the only remaining big prize beginning with a one.
“I am number one,” Shelton replied.
“You are number one, well alright, that works. And is the first number a one?” Platt asked.
“It’s a dollar sign,” Shelton answered.
Platt then pushed the suspense further.
“What about that next figure?”
As the number came into view, Platt shouted, “Is that a one?!”
Shelton instantly exploded in celebration.
“F*** yeah!”
“Andrew Shelton, $1,000,000! Congratulations!” Platt announced as Shelton jumped around the stage.
Taxes First, Then The Party Plan

Platt then asked Shelton what was running through his mind after becoming a millionaire bounty winner.
Shelton’s first answer was not quite what most people expected.
“I gotta admit right away that I need to lose a lot of money so I don’t pay taxes.”
“So instantly, mind goes to taxes,” Platt replied.
Platt also pointed out that Shelton had seemed confident before the pull, telling him he had a good feeling walking up to the stage after saying he was number one.
“Exactly,” Shelton said.
When asked what he planned to spend the money on, Shelton kept the same unfiltered energy.
“Drugs, alcohol, women,” Shelton stated confidently.
“Yup, that’s the usual here,” Platt replied. “Thank you for being honest.”
Kartik Ved Pulls $100,000 Bounty

Shelton was not the only player to find a huge envelope in the Mini Mystery Millions.
Indian poker pro Kartik Ved also landed one of the biggest prizes of the day after pulling a $100,000 mystery bounty.
Ved, known online as “TheInternetKid,” has long been a regular in both the live and online poker scene. His first recorded live tournament cash came in August 2015 at the India Poker Championship, and he later earned his biggest live score with a 51st-place finish in the 2019 WSOP Main Event for $173,015.
His chase for a bracelet ended successfully during the 2020 WSOP Online series on GGPoker, where he won Event #64: $840 Super Turbo Bounty NLH for $234,433. Ved has also built a strong résumé in India, with major online results and multiple high-profile festival victories.
The $100,000 bounty now adds another WSOP highlight to Ved’s career, and gives Indian poker fans another big moment to celebrate in Las Vegas.
