Anatoly Filatov is a Russian professional poker player. He was born on August 8th, 1988 in Moscow, Russia.

He’s mainly known as an online tournament player. He has amassed a staggering $12.6 million in online MTT winnings during his long career on the virtual felt, starting in 2008. His most used screen name is “nl_profit”, which he plays under on partypoker and PokerStars. On Natural8-GGNetwork, he plays under his full name, “Anatoly Filatov”.

In September 2021, he took down the $10,300 GG Super MILLION$ Main Event for $1.205 million.

Filatov was a member of Team partypoker, a roster of poker pros sponsored by the site, between 2017 and 2021. As for live poker, he has $5.172 million in tournament earnings. That puts him in the top 10 on the Russian all time money list by The Hendon Mob.

Filatov was born and raised in the capital city of Moscow, Russia. He studied Scientific Computing and Cybernetics at the University of Moscow.

During his college years, he fell in love with poker. His fellow Russian Ivan Demidov taking 2nd place in the WSOP Main Event (ultimately losing to Peter Eastgate from Denmark) and winning $5.810 million is what ignited the young Filatov’s passion for the game.

So, he deposited some money into his PokerStars account and started grinding low buy-in tournaments on the site. The rest is history.

Filatov has $5.172 million in live tournament earnings, according to his Hendon page. That sum is the product of ITM finishes in 102 different live events over the course of 8 years. This puts him in the top 10 on the Russian all time money list.

The first recorded cash on his profile is from January 2012. He already had 4 years of experience in playing online tournaments under his belt at the time. He came in 4th in a $550 No Limit Hold’em tourney at the Merit Winterfest in Kyrenia, Cyprus for $7,763. He visited that casino in Northern Cyprus many times in the next couple of years, collecting cashes in mid to high stakes events.

The first time he made a live score for over $100K was in April 2013. He finished 3rd in the €1,100 NLHE – Berlin Cup event at the Berlin stop of the European Poker Tour for €126,000 (which equaled around $165,000 at the time).

His next big break also came in an EPT event. The next year, in March 2014, he made a runner-up finish in the €10,300 High Roller event at EPT Vienna in Austria for €265,200. He lost the heads-up battle for the title to the French Fabrice Soulier.

In August 2018, he took down the RUB318,000 Main Event at partypoker LIVE Russia in Sochi for RUB60,000,000 ($945,000). He beat his fellow Russian Gor Kazaryan heads-up for the title this time. Only a year later, in November 2019, he claimed victory in another major live tournament. He finished first in the $10,300 Main Event at the partypoker MILLIONS World Bahamas for $280,000.

Anatoly Filatov is yet to win his WSOP gold bracelet.

However, his biggest live score to date is from a WSOP event. He took 3rd place in the €100,000 Diamond High Roller event at the 2019 WSOP Europe in Rozvadov, Czech Republic. He pocketed no less than €907,301 (around $1.009 million) for that performance.

He also managed to make it into the money in two back-to-back WSOP Main Events. He first finished 892nd out of 7,221 players for $16,024 in 2017; then finished 255th out of 7,874 players for é42,980 in 2018.

Filatov also made a number of cashes in WSOP online events as well. In 2020, when the dreaded Coronavirus pandemic forced all events to take place online, he came in 3rd in the $1,500 Millionaire Maker online event for $772,251 on Natural8-GGNetwork. The next year, in 2021, he finished 4th in the $25,000 No Limit Hold’em – Super High Roller Championship ONLINE event for $555,720, also on GG.

Overall, Filatov has cashed in 41 World Series events for a total of $2.717 million combined.

Filatov has always focused on tournaments over cash games during his career, both live and online. Therefore, he hasn’t appeared on any TV shows and online live streams where he would play live cash publicly.

Filatov is best known in the poker world for his amazing achievements in online tournaments. He collected a staggering $12.6 million in online MTT winnings, playing on a number of sites. With that sum, he’s currently in the top 25 on Pocketfives’ all time cashes leaderboard.

He cashed for the most on his GGPoker account “Anatoly Filatov”, $5.562 million. On PokerStars, where he started his online career, he plays under his famous screen name “nl_profit” and amassed $4.095 million in winnings. On partypoker, he also uses “nl-profit” and has cashed for $1.686 million. He used to play on the now defunct poker site Full Tilt as well, under the screen name “mr_deer”, and cashed for $773,000 there. On top of that, he has had accounts on sites such as 888Poker; and with smaller rooms such as Titan Poker and Carbon Poker.

The first recorded online cash on his profile is from August 2008. He finished 83rd in a $1 tourney on Stars for a modest $3. From this humble beginning, it took him 2 years to bag his first 5-figure online score in August 2010. He took down a $100 freezeout NLHE event on Full Tilt, and won $10,296.

In June 2021, he won the $10,300 GG Super MILLION$ High Roller for $325,957. A few months later, in September 2021, he triumphed in a very similar event, the $10,300 GG Super MILLION$ 2-Day Main Event for $1.205 million. That is his biggest single online tournament score to date.

Anatoly Filatov joined Team partypoker, a roster of poker pros signed to promote the site, in March 2017. He parted ways with the company in January 2021. Also, he has a YouTube channel with 10,000 subscribers where he posts poker content in his native language, Russian.
