Just over seven hours of actual play, the Main Event field trimmed from 47 players down to the final 9 . The locals dominated with six of the players waving the flag. Bagging the chip lead was Taiwanese hotshot Zong Chi He who experienced a late game surge. Zong also railed Fu Sheng Kuang in 10th place to end the day.

Sitting only one big blind behind the leader was Hong Kong's Lee Shun Hei who railed multiple players along the way including the day's entering chip leader Chen Po Jui in 11th place.

The final 9 players return on Monday, December 23 at 1pm to chase down the inaugural PS Taipei Main Event title and the coveted NTD 2,503,000 top prize.

When the board flopped A♦ 7♣ 5♠ , Kuang improved to a higher pair however with the turn J♦ , Zong overtook and went on to win the hand on the river Q♥ . Kuang was eliminated in 10th place, just missing the final table.

With two cards to come, the turn J♦ improved both but Lee was now ahead with a straight. The river T♣ was not one of Chen's outs to bite the dust in 11th place.

Yu Cheng Hsu defends his big blind with a three-bet but after Nick Lai repops it all in for 2,485,000, Hsu folds giving up the 400,000 bet.

Button player Ruei Jiun Liang raises 125,000 and Sin Lan Chen defends her big blind. At the flop 2♦ 2♥ 7♦ , Liang continues for 120,000, Chen check-raises 300,000 and wins the pot easy.

Small blind Yu Cheng Hsu raised 125,000 and after big blind Fu Sheng Kuang called, Hsu continued for 80,000 on the flop A♦ Q♥ 9♥ . Kuang answered it with a 200,000 raise however when Hsu battled back with a shove, Kuang folded.

Already ahead, Ng further improved on a board A♣ K♥ 3♠ 3♣ 6♣ to ship a double up.

At the showdown, Zeng needs help which doesn't come on a board K♥ 9♥ 6♠ 9♣ 7♠ to fall in 12th place.

With the board running 8♣ 4♠ 7♥ K♥ 5♣ , Kuang completes a straight to breathe a sigh of relief at his good fortune.

Up until this time, Zong Chi He had been very quiet and yet managed to keep his stack in decent shape. Calling raise by Nick Lai preflop, Fu Sheng Kuang also joined in for a three-way to the flop A♣ 3♠ 6♣ . Following two checks, Zong test the waters with a 160,000 bet and got called by Kuang. On the turn K♥ , Kuang checked again, Zong announced all in, Kuang folded. Zong flashed T♦ before raking in the pot.

With Ng having the better kicker, it looks like the end for Zeng however the river comes down 5♠ to miraculously improve Zeng to two pair.

Min-raise by Yu Cheng Hsu is called by Erwin Ng to see a flop K♦ J♠ T♣ . Cheng checked it to Ng who bet 100,000 then Cheng called to go to the turn Q♠ . Action seemed to heat up with Ng continuing for 250,000 and Cheng check-raising 600,000, but Ng opted not to go any further and folded. Hsu flashed A♣ for the straight.

Preflop battle begins with Yu Cheng Hsu raising 110,000, Zeng Guo Jin three-bets 250,000, Hsu counters with a shove, Zeng gives it up.

With the turn 2♥ and river J♣ , Zeng's aces stand firm for a solid double up.

With the board running out Q♦ J♥ 4♠ 6♣ Q♥ , Tse was eliminated in 13th place.

Wu Yi Syuan is down to crumbs and tosses it in with J♦ 4♦ to battle with. However, it isn't good enough to get past Tse Chun Hong's K♣ Q♥ on the board Q♦ 6♣ 5♠ J♠ 5♣ to finish in 14th place.

Prior to the new level Sin Lan Chen had already been seen raking in multiple small pots. She just picked up a larger one against Wu Yi Syuan that begain with a limped pot. On the flop K♣ Q♣ 9♦ , Wu bet 105,000, Chen check-raised to 600,000, Wu quickly gave it up. Chen kindly showed her J♦ T♦ straight.

From utg, Erwin Ng initiates the action with an 80,000 raise, from the button Yu Cheng Hsu three-bets 200,000, Ng calls and the dealer lays out the flop Q♣ 4♣ 5♥ . Hsu is given the reins and fires a 150,000 c-bet only to be met with a check-raise of 400,000. Hsu is tamed and calls.

On the turn Q♠ , Ng charges with a 600,000 bet which is enough to put Hsu all in. Hsu risks for his last 350,000 and shows K♣ Q♥ trips. Ng is drawing for a flush with A♣ T♣ . With the river 2♥ , Hsu ships a massive double as Ng drops to nearly half stack.

With the board running 6♦ 7♣ 2♥ 9♥ 2♦ , Lee's higher pair prevails to end Li's run in 15th place.

Ken Chuang put it all on the line holding A♣ T♣ and was in bad shape against Fu Sheng Huang's T♥ T♦ . With the board running 4♣ 9♣ K♥ K♦ 2♠ , Chuang failed to improve to exit in 16th place.

Chip leader Nick Lai defended his big blind against join Jonathan Looi to see the flop 6♠ T♥ 8♠ . Looi continued for 100,000 which was about half pot, Lai answered with a huge check-raise of 300,000. After using up a time-bank, Looi called.

The turn came 2♦ to which Lai fired again, this time 600,000. Looi called once more to complete the board A♠ . Lai remained unrelenting, going all in for 1,500,000. With less behind Looi tanked for one time bank then folded and showed T♦ T♠ set. Lai didn't return the gesture instead just collected the massive pile.

18 players now remaining at the Main Event. Minimum payout is now NTD 128,000 (~US$ 3,937).

Bad timing for Mao Lun Yu to get J♥ J♦ only to shove into Jonathan Looi with Q♥ Q♣ . No help arrived on the board 2♥ 7♥ 5♠ T♣ 2♦ to end Yu's run in 20th place.

Facing a raise and a caller, Tse Chun Hong three-bets 260,000 from the button. No one calls to add another 6 bb to his arsenal.

Chang Ming Hung opens from utg, several spots over Lee Shun Hei re-raises 155,000, small blind Erwin Ng sends it further north to 450,000 and finds no callers.

Sitting on hijack, Wu Yi Syuan likes her K♠ J♥ and raises 60,000. Button player Ruei Jiun Liang also likes his hand 6♦ 6♣ and calls. Both head to the flop Q♥ Q♦ 4♠ where Wu continues for 45,000. Liang calls again and the dealer turns it 3♥ . Wu ramps up the aggression and sends out 50,000, Liang doesn't believe and calls to bring the river 4♥ where both check. Liang's pair holds to scoop up a nice pot as Wu drops below 20 bigs.

Thananan Uttawat went all in holding A♠ J♠ only to run into Yu Cheng Hsu with A♥ Q♣ . No miracle arrived on a board 2♦ 8♠ 6♠ 3♥ 6♣ to end Uttawat's run in 22nd place.

Jonathan Looi defends his big blind and checks the flop K♣ 3♣ T♣ . Zeng Guo Jin does the same for a free turn card A♦ . Looi checks again while Zeng opts otherwise and bets 130,000. Looi calls and it's off to the river 7♠ . Looi switches up and leads out 65,000, Zeng pays to see Looi's hand which he shows Q♣ 4♣ flush at the flop. Zeng mucks.

Chip leader Lee Shun Hei kicks it off with a raise from cutoff and is denied the steal with big blind Chang Ming Hung defending. Both check to the turn board 6♥ A♣ 2♠ 7♠ which Chang checks again while Lee makes it 130,000 to continue. Chang calls then checks the river 5♣ . Lee uses a time bank then bangs out 400,000, Chang gives up the challenge.

Peeking at J♣ J♠, Zeng Guo Jin min-raises from cutoff, Yu Cheng Hsu likes his A♠ J♥ and three-bets 330,000 from the button leaving 10,000 behind. After the blinds fold, it's back to Zeng who jams over 1.2M, Hsu commits the rest of it.

With the board running A♦ A♥ 6♠ Hsu jumps way ahead and with it completing 3♥ 6♣ , Hsu doubles up into the middle of the pack.

From the button, Ken Chuang called Mao Lun Yu's min-raise then called another 80,000 bet on the flop 4♠ Q♣ T♦ . Though no bets landed on the turn 7♦ , the river 3♣ saw Yu come out for 200,000, Chuang snap-called and showed 9♣ 9♠ easily beating Yu's K♦ 4♦ lower pair.

Wang Zhi Yu will continue his tournament run after getting paid the max by Lee Shun Hei. Wang three-bet all in with A♦ J♣ , Lee called with 6♠ 6♦ , a jack showed up on the board 2♠ K♥ J♥ 7♦ 4♣ .

Thananan Uttawat open shoved 205,0000 with Q♦ J♦ and faced Wu Yi Syuan with A♣ K♥ . The board favored the short stacked Uttawat running lots of diamonds 6♥ 9♦ 7♦ T♦ 4♦ for a winning flush.

With action folding to the button Jonathan Looi, he raised 50,000. Big blind Wu Yi Syuan called and a flop landed 3♦ 3♥ Q♣ . Looi continued for 30,000, Syuan responded with a check-raise of 80,000, Looi called. On the turn 5♥ , action was checked to Looi again, he fired 135,000, Syuan let it go.

Folded around to the button, Mu Ze Li raised 50,000, small blind folded while big blind Mao Lun Yu defended to play the flop Q♥ 5♥ 2♣ . Yu checked to the aggressor Li who fired another 35,000, Yu called. Both players then played it safe with checks on the turn 8♦ and river 2♥ . Yu flipped over Q♠ 7♣ for the win.

Lee Shun Hei gets dealt A♦ A♣ from ugt and raises it up to 50,000. Down the orbit Chunyao Hou also has a pair, dealt J♣ J♦, and sends it north to 160,000. Action back to Lee who four-bets 400,000, Hou shoves 1,500,000, and with aces, Lee snap-calls for a total of 900,000.

With the board running 5♦ 2♥ 2♠ T♥ 9♦ , Lee's rockets prevail to rake in a massive double up to 75 bb. Hou drops to 24 bb.

With A♠ Q♦ on hand, Yu Liang Chen four-bet all in for 450,000 and still wasn't able to push out the larger stacked Chunyao Hou who had J♥ J♦ . The board ran T♥ 8♥ Q♥ for a higher pair to Chen however with the turn K♥ , Hou improved to a flush and Chen was drawing dead.

Small blind Yu Cheng Hsu limps and big blind Suya Lee checks. Both check to the turn 2♦ 4♦ 6♠ A♣ . Hsu takes a stab at the pot for 30,000 and Lee calls. Back to checking on the river A♦ . Hsu shows Q♠ 3♠ missed flush, Lee wins the light pot with Q♦ 8♦ higher spread.

Down to 5 bb, Keolin Naidoo chooses to shove with K♣ J♥ then doesn't get past Zeng Gui Jin's A♠ 3♣ on a board running Q♠ 7♦ 4♣ 3♦ 3♥ .

Three players check to the turn 7♣ 5♣ K♣ 8♥ . No more checking for Nick Lai and slides out 50,000. Only Ruei Jiun Liang calls and they head to the river J♥ . Lai fires a larger 150,000, after a time-bank Liang pays to see then mucks to Lai's A♣ 6♣ nut flush made at the flop.

With Kai missing the board completely, Lee doubles up and more.

Three players in a raised pot to 150,000 brings a flop A♣ 3♠ T♦ . Preflop aggressor Wu Yi Syuan c-bets 35,000 that's called only by Chen Po Jui. Switch up on the turn 2♠ with Chen betting 60,000 and Wu check-calling. Both players keep it friendly on the river T♠ and check. Wu shows A♥ Q♣ , Chen A♠ Q♦ , it's another split.

It was practically the end for Lee Shun Hei who three-bet preflop for 205,000 leaving just 5000 behind. Initial raiser folded while caller Chen Po Jui stuck around. With the dealer felting K♠ 2♠ Q♣ , Lee checked to Chen who bet the minimum 20,000, Lee committed the last 5000 behind and was behind.

No change on the turn J♦ but on the river T♦ , both players improved to a straight for a split pot.

Big stacked Chen Po Jui opens 35,000 and is joined by three callers to see the flop 8♦ 2♥ 9♦ . No one takes a stab at the pot to bring the turn 7♠ . No more checking for chip leader Ruei Jiun Liang who slides out 70,000. Only Chen calls and they head to the river 2♥ . Liang goes back to checking, Chen sends 120,000 out front, Liang snap-calls and shows J♦ 7♦ mid pair. Chen has Liang way beat with J♠ T♣ straight.

Four players in a raised pot preflop see the cards land Q♥ J♥ 9♦ . Small blind Eric Hsu opened for 100,000, two folds followed, then Wu Yi Syuan announced all in with a stack well covering Hsu. Hsu risked it and saw the bad news.

The turn 7♣ and river T♦ didn't improve Hsu to send all of his chips to Wu and exit in 36th place.

Facing a raise of 30,000 by Wang Zhi Yu that's called by a player, Sin Lan Chen goes all in for 313,000 and finds no takers.

With action folding to the button Chang Ming Hung, a raise of 30,000 was sent out front. Erwin Ng wasn't giving up his big blind that easy and called. At the flop K♣ J♠ A♥ , Chang continued for 18,000 and Ng called once again. Both players then kept is friendly with checks on the turn 8♥ and river J♥ . Ng flipped over his A♣ 4♥ top pair and won the pot.

Flipping for everything, Tse Chun Hong had A♣ 8♠ up against bigger stacked Sin Lan Chen with 4♦ 4♠ . The board was kind to Tse running 9♠ 2♥ 8♥ 7♣ A♥ .

From hijack, big stacked Ruei Jiun Liang was dealt A♣ K♠ and min-raised then didn't hesitate to call Jia Cheng Luo's 148,000 shove. Luo showed a lesser A♥ J♥ . When the flop ran J♣ 4♣ 6♥ , Luo was given hope with a pair however with the turn Q♣ and river 6♣ , it was a runner runner flush for Liang to send Luo to the exit.
