Cards are now flying at the ballroom of Hoiana Hotel & Suites with the first ever Poker Dream event in Vietnam finally hitting the felt. The much awaited festival welcomed players in with a VN₫ 1 Billion GTD Warm Up and a High Rollers Freezeout. Both events are running at opposite sides of the room. For late-comers, there’s still plenty of time to join the action with both events seeing registration available well into nighttime.

Tournament schedules and structures

From the get-go, a large crowd of Koreans quickly populated the high rollers, among them was well known ex-Starcraft gamer Yohwan Lim aka BoxeR. Also seated were 2019 WPT Vietnam Main Event champion Hamish Crawshaw, recent Triton Cyprus Main Event runner up Wayne Heung, WSOP bracelet winners Danny Tang, Abhinav Iyer, Chin Wei Lim, and Poker Dream creator Winfred Yu.

Bigwigs were also found at the Warm Up such as 2011 Macau Poker Cup Main Event champion Raiden Kan Yew Fatt and 2016 ACOP Main Event champion Jack En Ching Wu. A large contingent from the Philippines has been spotted in the vicinity, which included WPT Prime Cambodia Main Event champion David Erquiaga and PPPoker Live Main Event champion Richard Marquez. We should be seeing them in the mix sometime today.
