Winfred Yu - SOMUCHPOKER

Winfred Yu, President of the Poker King Club, is one of the most recognizable figures in the Asian Poker world.While he may often appear in headlinesrelating to Asian poker, he is more than just a businessman, and is quite a well-respected poker player in his own right.

Winfred Yu‘s playing career is littered with cashes and final tables across Asia and the USA, but it wasn’t until 2012 that Yu managed to hit a six figure score. He placed 2nd in an Asian Poker Tour (APT) Macau Main Event for over USD$131,000.

From there, he quickly added two major finishes to his live cashes. The Aspers £100,000 High Roller, 2 months later, netted him USD$535,000 and a 3rdplace position in April 2013 in the WSOP-APACMain Event added a further USD$442,917.

Since then, Yu made it in the money and made final tables in side events which earned him small cash figures but this still exhibited his skills and his consistency in the game.

In September 2016, he once again made 6-figures in the Super High Roller Triton Charity Poker Tournament where he placed 4th and took home US$232,192. On November of that same year, he he made it to the final table of the Main Event of the Triton Super High Roller Series and made USD$402,274.

Winfred Yu can definitely be considered as one of the luminaries of the Asian poker scene as a businessman that has contributed greatly to the health of the industry in Asia and as a skilled and formidable opponent on the felt.
