Nishant Sharma is an emerging poker professional talent from Mumbai, India. The 32-year-old who has a huge reputation in India’s online poker circuit, is translating his success to the live felt action. Sharma has four live titles to his name in a young career to rank 12th in the India All Time Money List. He has exceeded the 500K milestone with total live earnings of $844,218. Nishant “DoJingBULLETS” has recently been recruited as brand ambassador of the Indian online platform Gamezy Poker.

Nishant Sharma’s introduction to game was playing online on Zynga Poker app developed for Facebook. Sharma then made the transition to live tournament play in 2017 when he recorded his first cash at the Main Event of the Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) in Panjim, Goa. He then shipped his first title in his very first year of play, winning the NLH Event of the Macau Poker Cup 27. Then only 25 years old, Nishant Sharma emerged victorious after defeating 120 entries, and winning the heads up play over Malaysia’s Ming Ken Thoo.

The following year, Sharma continued to show his potential by emerging as India’s best finisher in his first outing at the 49th World Series of Poker 2018, Las Vegas. He finished 34th at the Main Event Championship to collect his first 6-figure prize money of $ 230,475, a career best cash to date. His 2019 highlights include a runner-up finish at the 50K Warm-up Event of the Deltin Poker Tournament (DPT) Colossus Super High Roller Series, Panjim and a table finish at the Main Event of the World Poker Tour India, Panjim, banking $ 14,396. Sharma’s total haul for 2019 was over $45,000. Just before the pandemic lockdown in 2020, he finished second at the Main Event of the Baazi Poker Tour 2020, Panaji, adding $ 38,483 to his earnings. Like many poker players, Sharma continued his poker play online during the worldwide lockdown.

Nishant Sharma returned to live felt action in 2022, to collect two more titles. In August, Sharma bagged the Colossus Main Event of the Adda52 Colossus – High Roller Series, Panjim netting a top prize of $ 41,877. He made it back-to-back championships with another win at the World Poker Championship – SEAPT Hanoi. Sharma ruled the Hanoi-High Roller Single Day Event and binked $ 28,552. Vietnam continued to bring him luck in 2023, with deep runs at the Asian Poker Tour Summer Series Hanoi and World Poker Tour Vietnam – Passport to the World Championship, Hanoi. Sharma finished second in the Single Day High Roller 8 Max of the APT Hanoi and a made the final table in the High Roller Warm-up of the WPT Vietnam. He collected a combined cash of nearly $ 55,000.

From bubble to champion, Nishant Sharma wins Poker Dream Main Event in Vietnam

Nishant Sharma collected his fourth title in 2024 at the Poker Dream 10 – Vietnam, Hoi An. It was a dramatic comeback as Sharma bubbled Main Event flight F and registered the last hyper turbo Main Event flight just before the closing of registration. Sharma then bested Vietnam’s Quoc Phu Ngo in heads up play to win the new Poker Dream Main Event Dragon Trophy and register his second-best cash at $ 148,283.

The popular Indian player then made it two in a row by capturing the Main Event of the Poker Dream 11 Malaysia. Sharma smoked a field of 2,013 entries and beat Malaysia’s Yong Chin Chong in heads-up play to defend his title. He pocketed $183,600 and carved himself a little piece of tournament history with back-to-back titles.
