Once a casual player, Philippine native Maxwell Rosete has risen to the top of the poker ladder with total live earnings of USD 138,044. He kicked off his career on an immediate high with a second and first-place win at the 2019 RVS Cup Philippine Poker Championship for PHP 435,000 (USD 8,570). 

Following his initial win, Rosete became a regular in the PokerStars LIVE Manila Super Series, Philippine Poker Championship, and APPT Open scene, winning numerous first-place prizes. Rosete temporarily retired from poker from 2020 to 2022 and made an impressive return to the field, securing his biggest victory in September of that year. Rosete placed first at the Asian Philippine Poker League Main Event and cashed a generous PHP 3,203,000 (USD 54,246). 

Rosete has since claimed more victories in the Philippine poker field and made his first international appearance in October 2023 when he participated in WPT Vietnam, Passport to the World Championship. 

Regarding his ongoing success, Rosete wrote to fans and players on social media, “To my colleagues, find a circle that would help you in your down times, find a circle that would motivate you, find a coach that would help you improve your game.
