Chen Yu Hung - SOMUCHPOKER
Chen Yu Hung a.k.a Sam Hung carries the flag for Taiwan but resides in the United States. Hung’s first recorded cash was at a December 2016 WSOP Circuit Event where he finished second and banked a hefty $56,745. In 2017, Hung made his foray in the World Series of Poker (WSOP), Las Vegas for its 48th edition. He would finish a decent 13th place cashing $68,022 in the Millionaire Maker Event.
The Taiwanese card player would regularly complete at WSOP Circuit Events and the World Poker Tour (WPT) where his highest finish was at 3rd in the 2017 WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic, Las Vegas with a 5-figure pay out.
2018 saw Hung do deep runs at the WSOP Events. He finished 5th at the WSOPC Los Angeles Bracelet Event, snatching a $22,840 paycheck. He nearly repeated his placement at the 49th WSOP in Las Vegas, finishing a rung lower than the previous year at 14. Hung added $14,961 to his career winnings which by then had breached over 200K.

A major title remained elusive until January of 2024 when “Sam Hung” was crowned champion of the USOP Taiwan Main Event after an intense 8-hour final table against South Korean Gyeong Byeong Lee. Together with the coveted title was a career-best live cash of $173,243. Hung is nearing the half million mark in total live earnings.
