Nevan Chang Poker Profile: Net Worth, Earnings & Stats (2025)

Attila Kendefi
I joined the Somuchpoker team in January 2025 as Head of Live Poker. With a strong background in client relations, I bring a fresh perspective and a customer-focused approach to everything we do. For me, delivering an outstanding customer experience is the top priority. It’s not just about running smooth and professional live poker events – it’s about making sure every player, partner, and guest feels truly valued and appreciated. My goal is to elevate Somuchpoker’s live events to a new level, combining operational excellence with a human touch that sets us apart in the global poker scene.

Nevan Chang (also known by his Chinese name Yu-Chung Chang) is a top-tier Taiwanese professional poker player, Natural8 Ambassador, and former esports competitor. He is one of the most recognizable faces in Asian poker, often creating content as part of the “WiN Poker Couple.”

Career Earnings & Biggest Results

With over $2.9 million in total live earnings, Nevan Chang ranks 6th on the Taiwan All Time Money List, solidifying his status as one of the country’s most successful players (according to The Hendon Mob).

He recently achieved a massive career milestone at the APT Championship Taipei 2025 (November 2025). Chang triumphed in the Mini Main Event Championship, topping a gigantic field of 1,603 entries to win the trophy and a career-best prize of TWD 7,085,620 (~$227,100).

This victory surpassed his previous biggest scores, which include a Single Day High Roller title at APT Taipei 2023 (~$64,000) and consistently deep runs in major events like the WSOP and WPT Prime.

Biography & Poker Background

Originally from Taipei, Taiwan, Chang’s journey to poker began after a trip to Seoul inspired him to leave his 9-to-5 job in e-commerce. Before poker, he was a competitive gamer, playing Counter-Strike for the famous esports team UMX.

He is heavily involved in the growth of Taiwanese poker, serving as a coach for the Chinese Taipei National Match Poker Team and creating educational content. Together with his partner Weiwei, he runs the popular “WiN Poker Couple” brand, promoting the game across Asia.

Play Style & Strategy

Chang describes himself as a “hybrid player” who balances high-volume online cash games with live tournament play. His approach is deeply analytical, rooted in his gaming background; he famously studied for over eight hours a day during his transition to professional poker. This disciplined, study-first methodology allows him to adapt to the fierce competition of modern High Roller fields.
