Several thousand players are participating in the WSOP 2026 , just like in previous years. Although there is no strict dress code at the largest poker event in the world, you might not expect to see Super Mario playing poker. Today’s Moment of the Day will be an insight into poker cosplay.
Most players choose comfort over formal attire, but some want to be noticed, regardless of their poker results. And we can make sure most dedicated fans will deliver.

Last year at WSOP 2025, the most iconic apparel was worn by ClubGG Qualifiers. The highly sought-after WSOP Squid Game hoodie and jacket became a viral poker fashion trend during the 2025 World Series of Poker. This exclusive apparel was created through a promotional crossover between GGPoker and Netflix’s hit show, coinciding with real-life poker pro Steven Jones making a deep run into the finale of Squid Game: The Challenge.

One of the peak moments in promoting this crossover was Daniel Negreanu ‘s sweepstakes for his very own Squid Game jacket, along with other signed items. The zipped sweatshirt is still trending; several players wore it at WSOP Europe 2026 in Prague and now at WSOP 2026 in Las Vegas.

You won’t go unnoticed in this sweatshirt for sure, even among thousands of players in the room. Especially with Daniel Negreanu’s signature on it.

Don’t be shy to show your personality if you want to. Poker should be fun in the first place, and if you manage to get in the money or reach a final table, that is just the cherry on top. For some professionals, WSOP means grinding for 1,5 month. But casual players will eventually remember the whole experience, not the specific hand on blind level 3 where they folded 4♠8♠ and should have made their runner-runner straight flush.
My journey in the world of poker (and later casino, sportsbetting) started more than 20 years ago, when I first attended a low-stakes live tournament. I’ve never looked back since, and have been active in several fields, including being a poker player, a live tournament director, writing online and offline articles about poker, and managing the localization of one of the world's largest online poker rooms. Poker is my home ground, I could never imagine doing a job that is not a part of it. I hope someday I’ll have more time to play live; that's something I've missed in the past few years. A game where luck meets skill - what would be more interesting?
