WPT Cambodia: Passport to the World Championship Begins Today in NagaWorld

The wait is officially over.

The WPT Cambodia Passport to the World Championship 2026 is back at NagaWorld in Cambodia , returning today after its last edition in 2024. The 13-day festival runs from August 12 to 24, featuring $1,000,000 in total guarantees, including a $500,000 guaranteed Main Event, with 70 trophy events on the schedule and the $10,400 WPT World Championship package once again among the biggest prizes on offer.

The last time the Passport to the World Championship came to Cambodia, it drew a huge field. The $1,300 event drew 913 entries and built a $1,040,592 prize pool. China’s Sha Chengchun went on to win the title and $175,542, along with his seat to the WPT World Championship.

Two years later, the Passport returns with the same $1,300 buy-in, now carrying a $500,000 guarantee, as part of a much wider festival featuring 70 trophy events.

And with the numbers from 2024 setting the benchmark, the question now is whether the 2026 edition can go even bigger.

For players travelling to a tournament series, however, the buy-in is only part of the calculation. Accommodation, food, transportation and rake can make a noticeable difference to the final result, particularly for those staying for several days.

Day 1 Schedule: August 12 (Wednesday)

The opening day gives players several different ways to enter the festival, from a two-day SuperStack to PLO and increasingly fast turbo formats.

The NagaWorld SuperStack gets the festival started at 12:30 PM with a $350 buy-in and 50,000 starting stack. 5 Card PLO follows at 3:00 PM, while the evening schedule shifts toward faster formats with the 6-Max Megastack Turbo and SuperStack Big Bounty Hyper Turbo.

Players who want another route into the festival can also take the $100 PLO Mini Championship satellite at 8:30 PM.

Cash Games are Also Running

Cash games are also running alongside the festival, giving players another way to get in the action between tournaments or after an early exit.

With the games taking place at the same venue, players can simply move from the tournament tables to the cash game action.
