WPT Cambodia Passport to the World Championship Returns to NagaWorld this August

The World Poker Tour (WPT) is set to return to Phnom Penh for another major stop in Cambodia , with WPT Cambodia: Passport to the World Championship taking place at NagaWorld from August 12 to 24, 2026.
The first edition in July 2024 proved to be a strong one for the brand, paying out $3,488,552 across 41 trophy events. The Championship alone drew 913 entries and generated a $1,040,000 prize pool from its $500,000 guarantee. This time around, the schedule grows to 70 events, with satellites attached to every guaranteed tournament and multiple routes into the WPT World Championship festival.
Feature Events and Guaranteed Prize Pools
Six events on the schedule come with guarantees, giving players several clear targets across the 13-day festival:
- Event #11 – Championship Warm-Up: $550 buy-in | $75,000 guaranteed
- Event #15 – 8-Max Survivor 1.25K Bounty: $660 buy-in | $100,000 guaranteed
- Event #26 – Mystery Bounty: $880 buy-in | $150,000 guaranteed
- Event #39 – Championship: $1,300 buy-in | $500,000 guaranteed
- Event #50 – Mini Championship: $550 buy-in | $75,000 guaranteed
- Event #51 – High Roller: $2,750 buy-in | $100,000 guaranteed
The schedule also gives plenty of room to Omaha players, with 5-Card PLO, PLO Hi, PLO Bounty, and mixed 4/5/6 PLO events spread throughout the series.
The Championship Event: $1,300 Buy-In, $500,000 Guaranteed
The main attraction is the $1,300 Championship, which carries a $500,000 guarantee and runs from August 20 to 24. There are three starting flights, followed by two more days of play, with levels set at 40 minutes for the first nine levels and 60 minutes from Level 10 until heads-up.
The Championship winner will also earn a transferable $10,400 WPT World Championship entry. The top five finishers will each receive a transferable $1,100 WPT Prime Championship entry, with all seats taken from the prize pool and usable at the WPT World Championship festival.

Players can also book special room rates at NagaWorld for the series. Packages run from three to 16 nights, with rates starting from $55 per night for Naga 2 Superior rooms and $105 per night for Naga 1 Deluxe rooms.

Visa-Free Entry for Chinese Travellers
Players travelling from mainland China , Hong Kong , and Macau may have an easier journey to Cambodia for the series. The Royal Government of Cambodia has announced a pilot visa exemption scheme for valid PRC passport holders, running from June 15 to October 15, 2026. The exemption applies whether travellers arrive directly from China or via a third country, but does not apply to Taiwan passport holders. Full details here.
