WPT and partypoker LIVE sign a 4-year deal to bring events to Canada and Europe
Two of the world’s major poker brands, the World Poker Tour and partypoker LIVE, have entered into a four-year partnership that will see seven events across Canada and Europe. Each of these events come packed with hefty prize pools of up to $3 Million in guarantees.

Collaborating with the WPT on these additional events across Canada and Europe will allow us to continue to provide players with the tournaments they want across the globe.”

The first of these events has already been announced and it promises to be one-of-a-kind. WPT Montreal takes place from October 28 to November 4 at the Playground Poker Club in Montreal, Canada. For the first time in WPT history, the festival brings together the WPT Main Tour, the WPT500, and the WPT DeepStacks. Each one extends a massive seven-figure guarantee:
- WPT Main Event: CAD $5,000,000 Guarantee
- WPT500: CAD $1,000,000 Guarantee
- WPT DeepStacks: CAD $1,000,000 Guarantee
According to the announcement, the tie-up will see a minimum of 300 seats up for grabs for every WPT Main Tour through qualifying promotions online. Players can win seats at partypoker for as little as $.01.
Upcoming events being planned are Sochi, Russia in February 2019 and the United Kingdom at Dusk Till Dawn in April 2019. All events will be streamed live at My partypoker LIVE app.

Another treat for players, partypoker is offering a new currency called partypoker LIVE Dollars (PP LIVE Dollars). You can win PP LIVE Dollars online which can be used at partypoker LIVE events and select WPT events.
WPT expansion continues
This latest expansion by WPT adds to a growing roster of continents under their belt. Starting mid-September, the tour returns to Asia for events in Japan and Korea, spilling into October and November for events in Vietnam and India. Last year also saw the brand expand to South America with three highly successful events held in Brazil and Argentina.
