The Taiwan Millions Tournament (TMT20) produced one of its best individual storylines of the festival on Day 24, as You Xuan Luo backed up her Apex High Roller win from the day before with the Poker Queen title, while Thailand’s Nattichai Sutipanwihan took down the day’s High Roller at the Asia Poker Arena . Away from the trophies, the Crown Main Event delivered its biggest flight yet, with Japan’s Motoki Nakai bagging the overall chip lead as TMT20 heads into its final weekend.

Two trophies in as many days is a rare feat even by TMT20 standards, and Luo pulled it off in style. Fresh off her win in the TWD 150,000 Apex High Roller , TMT20’s seventh Incense Cedar Trophy Plate event, Luo turned up the following afternoon and did it again in Event #L8 Poker Queen.

The TWD 8,000 Poker Queen drew 108 entries and built a TWD 670,100 (~$20,875) prize pool, with 17 players making the money. Luo topped the field to collect TWD 169,200 (~$5,270), capping a two-day run that few players at this year’s festival have come close to matching.

Motoki Nakai

The Crown Main Event saved its biggest field for Day 1D. A total of 299 entries fired into the TWD 18,000 event, easily the largest single flight of the four run so far, and only 29 players survived to bag chips for Day 2.

Japan’s Motoki Nakai came out of the flight with the biggest stack of the night, bagging 800,000 to take over the overall chip lead from Day 1A leader Tseng Cheng, who had held top spot on 763,000 since the earlier flights. Taiwan’s Yi Chang Ho and Vietnam’s Song Hau Pham also finished the day inside the top three overall.

With Day 1D in the books, the overall Crown Main Event field now stands at 858 entries across four flights, with 86 players already through to Day 2. Two starting flights remain on August 1 before the whole field reconvenes for Day 2 on Sunday, August 2, still chasing a share of the TWD 30,000,000 guarantee as the Taiwan Millions Tournament tour heads toward the closing stages of its landmark 20th edition.

With just one weekend of action remaining, TMT20 is building toward its conclusion, with the Crown Main Event now the last major title on the schedule.
