There Is Plenty to Look Forward to at TMT Championship 2026 in Taipei This October

October marks the final chapter of the Taiwan Millions Tournament (TMT) calendar, with the TMT Championship 2026 (TMTC 2026) set to run at CTP Asia Poker Arena in Taipei, Taiwan from October 16 to 26.
The annual championship festival features 35 scheduled events with NTD 48 million (~USD 1.5 million) in total guarantees, led by the NTD 35,000 TMT Championship Main Event, which carries a NTD 30 million (~USD 1 million) guaranteed prize pool.
The Championship comes with a slightly higher buy-in than the regular TMT events, but that also means a different field size. Regular TMT festivals have attracted more than 9,000 entries, while the Championship is built around a higher buy-in and a smaller field, giving players a chance to compete for a major guaranteed prize pool without facing the enormous numbers seen at the regular series.
NTD 30 Million Guaranteed Main Event

The TMT Championship Main Event is the centerpiece of the 11-day festival, with a NTD 35,000 (~USD 1,100) buy-in and NTD 30 million (~USD 1 million) guaranteed.
The Main Event gets underway on October 22, with six starting flights spread across three days. Players will have two flights each day to find their way through to Day 2.
Beyond the Main Event, the festival offers a wide range of tournament formats and buy-in levels, including mixed-game events. These games have been attracting a growing number of players in Taiwan , adding another dimension to the tournament schedule and reflecting the broader growth of mixed-game poker in the local scene.

TMT Championship Main Event Early Bird Package

For players already planning to play the Main Event, the TMT Championship Main Event Flight A Early Bird Package adds a few extras without increasing the NTD 35,000 price of the Main Event entry.
The package costs NTD 35,000 (~USD 1,100) , the same as the regular Main Event buy-in, but includes the Flight A ticket, TMT × GNF limited-edition sneakers, an exclusive 2026 hoodie, Bubble Protection for Flight A, and a NTD 2,000 tournament voucher.
In other words, players committing to Flight A can get the Main Event entry along with merchandise, tournament protection and an additional voucher, while paying the same price as the tournament entry itself.
WPF Ladies Weekend Takes Place Alongside the Festival

The opening weekend of the TMT Championship will also coincide with WPF Ladies Weekend 2026 , taking place from October 16 to 18.
Organized by the World Poker Federation Women’s Committee, the initiative brings women together through poker events taking place simultaneously across different countries and cities.
The first WPF Ladies Weekend in 2025 attracted more than 1,500 women and over 2,200 tournament entries across 10 countries, with events hosted in more than 15 cities across five continents.
The 2026 edition has already confirmed participation from 14 countries, including Taiwan , the Philippines , the United States, the United Kingdom , France and Brazil. Taiwan will once again be part of the international weekend, with events held at CTP Asia Poker Arena in partnership with the Asian Poker Sports Association and CTP.
WPF Ladies Weekend Early Bird Package

For women planning to play the TMT Championship Main Event, there is an early bird package that essentially adds the WPF Ladies Championship entry for free.
The package costs NTD 35,000, exactly the same as the regular TMT Championship Main Event buy-in. It includes entry to the WPF Ladies Championship on October 17 and TMT Championship Main Event Flight A on October 22, with a total package value of NT$43,000.
So instead of paying separately for both tournaments, women players can secure their Main Event seat at the regular NTD 35,000 buy-in while getting their WPF Ladies Championship entry included in the package.
Registration is open until October 16 at 23:59.
