14 Countries Join WPF Ladies Weekend 2026

More than 1,500 women took part in the first WPF Ladies Weekend. One year later, the global event is returning with an expanded list of countries, new host cities, and several of poker’s best-known venues joining the initiative.

Organized by the World Poker Federation Women’s Committee, WPF Ladies Weekend 2026 will take place simultaneously around the world from October 16 to 18.

The inaugural edition generated more than 2,200 tournament entries across 10 countries, with over 15 cities on five continents hosting events. Shiina Okamoto , Kasey Lyn Mills, and Laurie Tournier were among the prominent women from the poker community involved in the first edition.

WPF Ladies Weekend Expands to 14 Countries

Fourteen countries have already been confirmed for the second WPF Ladies Weekend: Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Estonia, France, Hong Kong, Israel, Liechtenstein, Nigeria, the Philippines, South Africa, Taiwan, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

More countries and individual stops are expected to be announced before the weekend begins.

The United States will again stage events in several locations. The Bellagio Poker Room will host the Las Vegas stop, while further events have been confirmed in Texas, Ohio, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky.

Several established poker venues will also be involved internationally. H2 Poker Club in São Paulo, the Hippodrome Casino in London, Pasino Grand Partouche in Aix-en-Provence, Monte Casino Sofia, and City of Dreams Manila are among those confirmed.

Taiwan will return for another edition at Asia Poker Arena , in partnership with the Asian Poker Sports Association and CTP.

Different Events for Different Poker Communities

WPF Ladies Weekend does not follow one fixed schedule across every country. Local organizers are given the freedom to build a program that suits their own poker community.

Tournaments remain central to the weekend, but individual stops can also include training sessions, talks, cash games, networking opportunities, and social events.

That flexibility was one of the key features of the inaugural WPF Ladies Weekend . Each participating city offered its own buy-ins, tournament structures, and surrounding activities while remaining part of the same international event.

The approach will continue in 2026, with several stops already announcing distinctive programs.

At the Hippodrome Casino in London, the schedule will include a women-only livestreamed cash game and a poker bootcamp featuring Marle Spragg and Jennifer Shahade . A Ladies tournament with a £20,000 guarantee will also be held.

Belgium will offer the €10,000 guaranteed Queens Millions alongside a women’s league running throughout October.

In Israel, the DAMA Club and LADIES poker communities will work together to stage the country’s first WPF Ladies Weekend, headlined by a two-day Main Event.

Grand Casino Liechtenstein will combine its tournament with a Ladies Brunch. Further details for the other participating countries will be released by their respective organizers.

Building on More Than 2,200 Entries in 2025

The WPF Women’s Committee launched the Ladies Weekend in 2025 with the idea of bringing women together at poker tables around the world during the same weekend.

Rather than creating one central festival, the committee worked with local organizers and venues to hold connected events across different countries. More than 1,500 women participated, producing over 2,200 tournament entries.

Luana Borges , President of the WPF Women’s Committee, believes the response to the first edition showed there was strong interest in an annual global event of this kind.

“The first edition showed us just how much women wanted to play, connect, and build something together. Seeing WPF Ladies Weekend grow so much in just one year, reaching new countries and communities, shows how much momentum this initiative has gained.”

More Than a Weekend of Tournaments

The WPF Women’s Committee was established to increase the involvement of women both at the tables and across the wider poker industry.

Its membership includes poker players, industry professionals, regional leaders, and representatives from participating countries. Through events and development programs, the committee aims to create more opportunities for women to play, learn, and become involved in different areas of poker.

WPF Ladies Weekend forms a major part of that work. Its international format allows every participating country to create something suited to its local players while contributing to a shared global initiative.

The second WPF Ladies Weekend will take place from October 16 to 18, 2026. Confirmed schedules and further participating locations will be announced by the World Poker Federation and the respective local organizers.
