WPF Ladies Weekend – Global Event

WPF Ladies Weekend

For the very first time, women from different countries will shuffle up and deal during the same weekend, united not only by the game but by a shared mission: to compete, connect, and celebrate their growing influence in the world of poker.

The WPF Ladies Weekend will be hosted in Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Colombia, Hong Kong, Nigeria, Philippines, South Africa, Taiwan, and the United States, with more locations to be announced soon. Each stop will be organized in partnership with national federations, local associations, and leading venues, ensuring strong ties with the community.

Host of the Taiwan stop, Christy Huang, International Marketing Promotion Manager at CTP Club,

I am delighted to witness and be part of the inaugural WPF Ladies Weekend. This is not only a stage for competition, but also a gathering of opportunities and inspiration.

For me, women in poker should not only strive for great results, but also have the space to be seen, supported, and to grow together through exchange, learning, and cultural sharing.

With the WPF Ladies Weekend taking place simultaneously across the globe, it allows Taiwanese players to stand side by side with international competitors, and serves as a valuable opportunity to showcase both the strength of Taiwanese poker and our culture to the world. I look forward to seeing all Taiwanese female players take part with us, and make this weekend a milestone we can all share together.

In the United States, Founder of the Women Poker Hall Of Fame and WPF Women’s Committee Director Of Development, Lupe Sotto, will feature stops in states such as California, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Texas South.

Seeing women from all over the world come together to celebrate the game we love in a single weekend is truly inspiring. The WPF Ladies Weekend showcases the talent, leadership, and impact of women in poker, creating connections that will resonate far beyond the tables and across the globe

Metro Card Club is proud to be part of the first-ever celebration of women in poker at WPF’s Ladies Weekend this October. This landmark event will not only showcase the skills of female players, but also highlight the strength, passion, and spirit of women in the game.

We believe this is just the beginning—a new era where the poker community shines stronger than ever. Join us as we make history and celebrate women in poker—on and off the tables.

Kathy Yeung, founder of the Hong Kong Women’s Poker Association (HKWPA) and co-founder of Hong Kong Poker Tour (HKPT) is the driving force behind the Hong Kong stop of the WPF Ladies Weekend.

The world’s largest women’s poker tournament is about to land in Hong Kong. Organized by the Hong Kong Women Poker Association (HKWPA), it is the first women poker association in Asia. HKWPA works closely with the American Women Association (AWA) to host poker tournament events, promoting poker to ladies around Asia. The WPF Ladies Weekend will be held at one of Hong Kong Poker Games premium venues providing a modern and professional stage for the upcoming event.
