Main Event Sets New Record With 1,418 Entries

This year's Main Event has continued the rapid growth of the TMT Championship 2026 since its introduction in 2024.
The inaugural Main Event attracted 936 entries before that figure increased to 1,076 in 2025. This year's record-breaking 1,418 entries represent a rise of 32% from last year and 51% compared with the first edition.

The growth is particularly notable given the disruption caused by Typhoon Champi during the opening fights of the Main Event. The storm affected Taiwan, canceling almost 1,000 airline flights. However, all the Main Event flights still went ahead, attracting massive numbers despite the travel complications.
Even with those conditions, the Main Event comfortably surpassed its TWD 30 million guarantee and generated a whopping TWD 42,880,320 prize pool.
The record turnout also underlines the growing pull of the TMTC and the TMT series as a whole. Even with a typhoon bringing dangerous conditions and major travel disruption, players still found a way to reach Taipei and go all-in on their chance to become a TMT Championship Main Event winner.
Nevan Chang Wins TWD 100K High Roller

Nevan Chang took home a trophy after finishing third in Friday's Super High Roller, winning Sunday's TWD 100,000 High Roller.
The tournament attracted 51 entries and generated a TWD 4.6 million prize pool, with eight players reaching the money.
Chang earned TWD 1,566,200 for the victory, with Australia's Anton Zhen Zhao Lu finishing runner-up and South Korea's Bongjae Lee taking third.
Pete Chen Claims Second Festival Title

Pete Chen added a second trophy to his TMT Championship 2026 haul by winning the TWD 50,000 High Roller Battle Stack.
Chen, who had already won the Mini Main earlier in the festival, topped a 24-entry field to collect TWD 471,000 from the TWD 1 million prize pool.
Anson Lau finished runner-up, while Kristof Segers took third.
Hyunseung Choi Tops 343-Entry NLH-Master

South Korea's Hyunseung Choi came through one of Sunday's largest fields in the TWD 15,000 NLH-Master.
The tournament attracted 343 entries, more than doubling its TWD 2 million guarantee to create a TWD 4.4 million prize pool.
Choi collected TWD 605,400 for first place, with Josei Kamei finishing runner-up.
Sunday Side Event Winners

Philippines' Ferlyn Cabaling won the Ladies Event, while Shao Ting Jian claimed the NLH 6-Max.
