Poker Dream Malaysia
Poker Dream Malaysia 17 is set to run from April 10 to 21, 2025, and it boasts a strong schedule with 61 trophy events and 42 satellites. Highlight of the festival is the flagship Main Event, which includes a hefty MYR 5 Million (~ USD $1.1 Million) guarantee. On top of that, players have plenty of other key events to pick from. To make travel decisions even easier, the hosts have come up with three different packages. Let’s take a quick dive into all of the info at a glance.
Poker Dream 17 Malaysia – Schedule
Main Event

As usual, the Poker Dream 17 Main Event offers the three-tired buy-in levels and Dream Bonus for multiple qualifications. The first flight takes place on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, with a MYR 2,400 (~ USD $537) price tag and will play down to the top 7.5% of the field in order to secure a cash prize.
Two days later, the third flight includes the median buy-in of MYR 3,200 (~ USD $ 717) and will conclude once the top 10% of the field has been reached. Last but not least, there is also a MYR 4,800 (~ USD $1,075) buy-in level as well in which the top 15% advance to the money stages. All players will be competing for at least MYR 5 Million (~ USD $1,126,914) in prize money as that’s the guarantee.

Nishant Sharma skipped the last edition but may very well be back to further cement his legacy in Poker Dream history after winning three Main Event editions in 2024, two of which came in Malaysia.
Players looking to get in the Main Event at no cost at all can join the Freeroll on April 19, 2025 however there are only 250 seats available so make sure to get there early to secure a spot. The top two finishers will win a seat to the Main Event, and third will receive as Milestone Satellite ticket.
Other Key Events

Which other notable events should poker players look out for? Right at the start of the series, the MYR 1.5 Million (~ USD 338,000) Malaysia Open kicks off and multiple flights are available on April 10 and 11. The buy-ins are MYR 1,000 (~ USD 224) and MYR 1,500 (~ USD 336), so this is certainly geared towards the recreational players with a smaller bankroll.
Several Single-Day Turbo Mystery Bounty Events have been added to the schedule and they are joined by Event #8 Mystery Big Bounty, which is also part of the Mystery Jackpot promotion that will conclude on the final day of the series with a special Mystery Jackpot Bounty Draw. With price tags of MYR 1,400 (~ USD 313) and MYR 2,100 (~ USD 470), there is a juicy MYR 500,000 (~ USD 112,691) guarantee connected to this low-stakes highlight.
The MYR 400,000 (~ USD 90,153) guaranteed DeepStack Event #12 has three MYR 2,100 (~ USD 470) flights on April 13, along with a cheaper MYR 1,400 (~ USD 313) Flipout heat before all survivors in the money play down to a winner the next day.
On the penultimate day of the series, Event #53 Monster Stack comes with a MYR 500,000 (~ USD 112,691) guarantee and three regular flights, all of which feature a price tag of MYR 2,700 (~ USD 605) and play down to the top 15% in the money. More affordable and much quicker is the MYR 1,800 (~ USD 403) Flipout heat.
Last but not least, the Mini Main Event with a MYR 200,000 (~ USD 45,000) guarantee takes the stage on the final day of the series with two regular turbo heats and a Flipout. The survivors all return as of 8 p.m. to play down to a winner, along with numerous other tournaments all concluding on April 21.
High Roller
The stakes increase for Event #17 MYR 15,000 (~ USD 3,359) High Roller. The two-day tournament will certainly attract some well-known poker pros from Malaysia and beyond. Double the buy-in is required to enter the MYR 30,000 (~ USD 6,718) Super High Roller on April 16 with registration open for the first three levels of the following final day. On the penultimate day is the two-day Mystery Bounty High Roller with a MYR 12,000 (~ USD 2,687) buy-in and MYR 1,000,000 (~ USD 225,383) guarantee.
The abundance of very expensive high-stakes contests makes this edition of Poker Dream more geared towards the mid-stakes players in the Asia-Pacific region with most tournaments held in the traditional No-Limit Hold’em format. Some mixed games are available as well such as Pot-Limit Omaha, Short Deck and 7-Card Stud.
New to the line-up deals to give participants additional value is the First Weekend Special deal, which was already available for Poker Dream Malaysia 17 in January. By pre-registering for the Malaysia Open and the Mystery Big Bounty, a 25% discount on the stay at Genting Highlands is granted to the first players taking advantage of the deal who also receive the bubble protection for both events on top as well.
The Main Event Early Bird Package offers up to 25% off for the first 100 registrants for the hotel deals and the discount depends on the Main Event buy-in with at least 10% rebate granted. All those taking advantage of this deal receive the Main Event bubble protection for all Day 1 flights and will be entered into a lucky draw with a chance to win USD $1,000 in tournament credit for the following Poker Dream 18 stop.
Last but not least, the exclusive High Roller package and Super High Roller package includes complimentary nights at Highlands Hotel depending on which high-stakes contests the players jump in. Event #31 Super High Roller for example grants four complimentary nights available to the first 30 players. An additional two complimentary weekday nights can be claimed for up to two events with the following tournaments of choice:
