Poker Dream festival debuts in Genting Highlands, Malaysia

The first of its kind, Poker Dream 2022 is arriving in a week at Resorts World Genting Highlands, Malaysia for an exciting 10-day tournament schedule complete with its own share of notable prize pools. Set to run from July 22nd through the 31st, tournament runners can expect to compete against well-known pros such as Danny Tang, Steve O’Dwyer, Michael Soyza, and Pete Chen amongst others. The awaited festival founded by Asia’s key figure Winfred Yu, boasts a 21-event lineup with its seven-figure guaranteed Main Event remaining to be the highlight on everyone’s schedule.

Buy-ins for the festivities range from RM 1,000 (~US$ 225) to its highest RM 50,000 (~US$ 11,251) for the two-day Super High Roller event. Only three tournaments post prize pool guarantees, the first one being the multi-day Warm Up RM 200,000 GTD (~US$ 45,004) event for a RM 1,500 entry fee, followed by the RM 3,000 (~US$ 675) buy-in RM 400,000 (~US$ 90,009) GTD Megastack tournament and lastly, the RM 1,000,000 GTD (~US$ 225,022) Main Event.

Numerous satellites are available throughout the schedule allowing players of lesser bankrolls to qualify for a fraction of the price. On a different note, those looking for bigger action can focus on the series’ four listed High Roller tournaments kicking off on the 24th.
