Kyle Bao Diep’s Three-Blind Comeback In GOP Olympians, Wouter Beltz Conquers The Demigods Challenge
Day 3 of Gods of Poker (GOP) Phnom Penh: The Coiled Path at NagaWorld was headlined by Kyle Bao Diep’s legendary comeback from three big blinds to claim the GOP Olympians title and an $18,476 top prize. The action-packed session also saw Wouter Beltz conquer the $12,600 Demigods Challenge, while Martijn Gerrits and Alfie Adam continued their dominant forms by securing multiple series trophies.
Kyle Bao Diep’s Epic Comeback at NagaWorld

Diep pulled off an incredible comeback to win the GOP Olympians title, the opening event of the Gods of Poker (GOP) Phnom Penh: The Coiled Path. The tournament drew 294 entries, creating a total prize pool of $84,672, but for a long time, it looked like Diep wouldn’t even see the final table. At one point, he was down to just three big blinds, forced to fight for every chip. He managed to claw his way back, eventually eliminating Mauricio Ott in 18th place and winning a massive three-way pot with pocket kings against pocket jacks and ace-queen. That hand not only doubled him up but also dented the stack of Day 1 leader Takuma Terada .
As the field narrowed, Joonhee Cho emerged as the biggest threat, at one point holding nearly half the chips in play after a double-knockout where his king-queen made a full house to crack pocket aces. However, Diep stayed aggressive, winning a crucial flip with pocket sevens against Jounghun Kim’s ace-queen and later catching a massive lucky break against Terada. In that hand, Diep shoved with jack-ten and rivered a straight to beat Terada’s top pair of aces.
After Terada fell in third, Diep entered heads-up play against Cho with a 2-to-1 lead. The duel lasted only six hands. Diep’s nine-eight of hearts dominated Cho’s eight-six of clubs, although Cho paired his six on the flop, Diep found a runner-runner flush to claim the $18,476 top prize.
This is my first trophy in over a year! I feel really good. I ran really well, played well, and got lucky.
This victory marked Diep’s first trophy since his win at WPT Cambodia, also held at NagaWorld last July 2024.
Wouter Beltz Claims the First Gauntlet in the Series’ Biggest Buy-In

The Demigods Challenge was a small but fierce event, featuring the series’ largest $12,600 buy-in.. With only three players forking over the hefty entry fee for a $34,920 prize pool, the battle for the first GOP black gauntlet trophy was small but fierce. After Daniel Neilson was the first to exit, Beltz and Gustavo Silva Campos entered a heads-up duel for the winner-take-all pot. The two quickly agreed to an ICM deal, leaving $12,000 aside for the eventual champion before restarting the action.
The match ended almost immediately after the restart, lasting only two hands. Beltz quickly took control of the chips before snap-calling a bluff from Campos on the final hand. Beltz’s pocket tens held up to award him the victory and the most prestigious trophy of the series so far.

Martijn Gerrits Goes 3-for-3

The defending GOP Player of the Series, Gerrits, is officially on a historic run. For the third day in a row, Gerrits walked away with a trophy, winning the Hyper Turbo – High Roller . This victory marks his eighth career GOP title and a $2,192 payout, proving he is still the man to beat in Phnom Penh.

Alfie Adam Adds Second Win

Adam continued his hot streak, picking up his second series victory by taking down the 5-Card NL Omaha – Hyper Turbo . He had earlier claimed the Big O – Turbo – $100 Bounty on Day 1, making it two titles in just a few days.

Aphrodite’s Event: Si Sun Shines

The ladies hit the felt for the inaugural Aphrodite’s Event. Si Sun navigated a competitive field to claim the title, becoming the first women’s event champion of the series and joining the growing list of Day 2 winners.

The Pandora’s Mystery Bounty drew 59 entrants across four starting flights at $660 each, creating a $33,984 prize pool. Eleven players advanced into the ITM round, led by Adrien Berger with a commanding 147-big-blind stack.

The Race for Player of the Series Heats Up
The race for the Player of the Series (POS) title is already heating up at NagaWorld, with Adam currently storming into the lead behind a relentless run of five cashes and two victories in the Omaha variants. Close behind is the defending champion Gerrits, who has maintained a perfect record by capturing three trophies in as many days. With the rule requiring at least three cashes to qualify for the $1,500 tournament credit top prize, both players have already cleared the hurdle, turning the early stages of the festival into a high-stakes battle of consistency versus perfection.
What’s Coming Up: March 29, 2026
Day 4 promises another trophy-filled schedule, with gauntlets, spartans, and shields up for grabs. The final Aphrodite Mirror will also be decided, giving one last opportunity for the ladies to claim the title.
The highlight of the day is the GOP Super High Roller, featuring the second gauntlet. Two flights run at 1:00 PM and 8:00 PM, with a buy-in of $8,500 and a starting stack of 120,000 chips (120 bb). Registration closes at the start of Level 3, and each flight plays down to ITM.
Early birds get rewarded with 50% rakeback for the first 12 players who put chips in play on the first hand of the event.
