The final stretch of APT Jeju 2026 delivered its biggest result yet, with China’s Jianfeng Sun finally getting his hands on the APT Gold Lion after finishing runner-up in the same event two years ago.

Sun outlasted a record-breaking 1,375-entry Main Event field at LES A Casino to claim the title and a career-best KRW 427,565,000 (~USD 319,080). Singapore’s Steve Ng finished runner-up after a heads-up deal, with Kwang Chung Tan rounding out the podium.

Elsewhere on Day 9, Brazil’s Higor Seibel led 65 survivors into the final day of the record-breaking APT High Roller, while Australia’s Lily Chen captured her first recorded live tournament title in the Mini Main Event for KRW 176,038,000 (~USD 130,400).

After coming close in 2024, Jianfeng Sun went all the way this time.

Sun returned as the chip leader for the Main Event Final Day and held off the remaining seven players to secure his first APT title. The Chinese pro overcame Steve Ng heads-up after the pair agreed to a deal, leaving the title and trophy to play for.

The victory came from a massive KRW 3,207,600,000 (~USD 2.39 million) prize pool, generated by the record 1,375-entry field. Sun’s KRW 427,565,000 (~USD 319,080) payday is also the biggest cash of his career and pushed his live tournament earnings past USD 2 million.

For Sun, the result completed a different ending to the story he started two years ago when he finished runner-up to fellow Chinese player Xixiang Luo in the APT Jeju 2024 Main Event .
