2025 APPT Manila to Feature $1 Million Guarantee for Flagship Main Event at The Cove Okada Manila

While the 2025 Asia Pacific Poker Tour is currently wrapping up at the Kingdom of Cambodia for what has become a regular stop for the PokerStars-sponsored live poker series, there are exciting news for the next upcoming festival thereafter.

During the summer months, APPT Manila will take place from July 23 until August 4 in the Philippines and it will boast another seven-figure Main Event guarantee of PHP 58,000,000 equivalent to over one million USD!

Host venue for one of Asia’s most-coveted live poker series will once again be the lavish Okada Manila and the tournaments will take place inside of the stunning The Cove at Okada Manila. While the boards may not be wet, the pools next to the tournament area certainly are and players can enjoy the fabulous setting while playing for millions upon millions in Philippine Pesos. This very venue inside of the resort is the biggest indoor beach club & nightclub in Southeast Asia with a huge glass dome.

APPT Manila is our biggest annual event so for the second year in a row we are inviting players to a truly exceptional experience at Cove Manila. This is a ‘one-stop shop’ for players throughout the festival. We have VIP rooms, massage cabanas, bar area, players lounge, and poker tables for tournaments and cash games. This is the only venue of its kind in Asia so we are very excited to host here once again.

To put things in perspective for the international visitors, with the current exchange rate, the PHP 58 Million guaranteed 2025 APPT Manila Main Event features a guarantee of more than USD 1 Million. This landmark figure was bumped up very recently with a buy-in of PHP 80,000 (~USD 1,445), which is set to take place from July 31 until August 4, 2025. Four starting flights are available.

The entire series includes key events with guaranteed prize pools of more than PHP 133 Million (~USD 2.4 Million). In total, there are 96 tournaments scheduled along with on demand Flipout tables and daily Sit And Go, the latter of which feature buy-ins between PHP 25,000 and PHP 200,000.

Several other key events are available and provide an opportunity for everybody’s bankroll, be it the more modest Okada Kickoff with a PHP 16,500 price tag (~USD 298) or the high-stakes challenge of the APPT One Million Challenge Championship with it’s buy-in of PHP 1 Million (~USD 18,060).

Leading the path to the crown jewel of the series are the APPT National from July 24 to 26, the APPT Open from July 26 to 28 and the PokerStars Red Dragon which runs from July 28 to 30. The latter is the revival of an iconic live poker event in the region which has been very popular in the past.

High Roller Lineup

If more pricy buy-ins are more of your poison, the aforementioned One Million Challenge is not the only high-stakes contest as part of the schedule. The two-day APPT Super High Roller on July 30 and 31 costs PHP 500,000 to enter (~USD 9,030), with a PHP 200,000 (~USD 3,612) Single Day High Roller and the APPT High Roller (PHP 250,000 / ~USD 4,515) at the end of the series following suit.

Players Party And Other Perks

Adding to the thrilling action, the Players Party will take place Cove Manila on August 1, 2025 starting at 7:30pm. Last year featured live performers, famous DJs, and free flowing drinks, giving players a fun break from the grind.
