Attila Kendefi
I joined the Somuchpoker team in January 2025 as Head of Live Poker. With a strong background in client relations, I bring a fresh perspective and a customer-focused approach to everything we do. For me, delivering an outstanding customer experience is the top priority. It’s not just about running smooth and professional live poker events – it’s about making sure every player, partner, and guest feels truly valued and appreciated. My goal is to elevate Somuchpoker’s live events to a new level, combining operational excellence with a human touch that sets us apart in the global poker scene.

Quan Zhou is a high-stakes Chinese professional poker player known for his fearless, aggressive play style and major titles in both No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha events.

Career Earnings & Biggest Results

With over $14.4 million in total live earnings (according to The Hendon Mob), Quan Zhou currently ranks 4th on the China All Time Money List. He is a fixture in the world’s most expensive tournaments, regularly competing in the Triton Super High Roller Series Jeju II 2025 and the World Series of Poker (WSOP).

His career-best live score of $1,193,000 came in February 2024 at Triton Jeju, where he finished as the runner-up in the $25,000 No Limit Hold’em 8-Handed event. Just weeks later at the same festival, he captured his first Triton title, winning the $25,000 Pot Limit Omaha event for $530,000.

Zhou continued his dominance into 2025 with multiple six-figure scores. Highlights include a 3rd place finish in the WSOP $10,000 Pot Limit Omaha Championship for $650,567 and a victory at the WSOP Circuit Cyprus in the Mega Mystery Bounty for $225,000.

Biography & Poker Background

Hailing from China, Quan Zhou has evolved from a regional grinder to a global High Roller star. He first gained international attention in 2017 when he famously bubbled the WSOP Main Event, but he quickly rebounded to become a regular in $25k+ buy-in fields.

He is particularly successful in Jeju, South Korea, which serves as a home turf for many Asian high rollers. In addition to his Triton success there, he has consistently cashed in regional tours like the Red Dragon Poker Tour (RDPT) and WPT Prime. His ability to win in both Europe (WSOPC Cyprus) and Las Vegas (Wynn Summer Classic winner) demonstrates a versatile skill set adaptable to any field.

Play Style & Strategy

Quan Zhou is renowned for his hyper-aggressive and unpredictable style. Often described as a “whirlwind” at the table, he is not afraid to make massive bluffs in high-pressure spots – a trait evidenced by viral hands where he has shoved with air against premium holdings.

While many high rollers lean towards GTO (Game Theory Optimal) play, Zhou incorporates a fearless, exploitative approach. He is also a world-class Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) player, with multiple bracelets and high roller final tables in the four-card variant, proving his proficiency extends beyond Hold’em.
