Chaar-Lee discovered poker over 20 years ago, starting with fixed-limit games before embracing the rise of No-Limit Hold’em across cash games, STTs, and MTTs. Kazakh player Ilya Firstov may be a poker rookie, but he’s racking up GPI points like a pro! The newbie got his professional start at WPT Prime Cambodia, placing a respectable 19th in the Mystery Bounty event and taking home USD 1,575.
Firstov doubled his prize pot in the following event, the WPT Prime Cambodia Main Event, with a USD 3,220 takeaway.
Firstov returned to Cambodia in May 2023, placing fourth in the Last Chance event at APPT Cambodia, winning USD 1,115. In his latest poker stint, Firstov made his biggest cashout to date, winning USD 4,142 and placing 14th in the Championship Warm-Up event at the WPT Cambodia Championship.
