Daniel Smiljkovic is a professional poker player from Filderstadt, Germany. Smiljkovic began his poker career as early as 2011 playing online, best known by his handle “SmilleThHero“. He built significant success online culminating in a gold bracelet win at the World Series of Poker Online in 2021.
Daniel Smiljkovic’s Achievements
Smiljkovic recorded his first live poker cashes at the King’s Resort Rozvadov in 2017 and 2018. The German player’s first significant performance would come in 2019 at the same place but in the more prominent World Series of Poker International Circuit – Czech Republic. He would also make deep runs at the 2019 Asian Poker Tour Korea in April and the European Poker Tour Prague in December to combine for nearly $ 100,000 in live cash earnings. Smiljkovic though would harvest more wins online highlighted by the 2021 WSOP bracelet win in August but in November, he would finish runner up at the ARIA High Roller 34 – $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em Event of the ARIA November High Roller Series Las Vegas, cashing $98,400.
Breakout Year
2023 would be a breakout year for Daniel Smiljkovic, when he would collect his best live cashes beginning with a table finish at the Triton Super High Roller Series Vietnam in March. He secured 3rd place at the high stakes event, banking a whopping $1,450,000 for a career top live cash. In July, the German made the final table of the $50,000 High Roller Event at the 54th World Series of Poker Las, Vegas for a handsome payoff at $713,413. Smiljkovic would finish the year back in the World Series of Poker Paradise, placing third in the GGMillions High Roller Championship Event for his second 7-figure cash of $1,192,300. These wins would give him momentum for 2024.
Current Year
January 2024 would be a memorable month for Daniel Smiljkovic making deep runs at the Poker Go Tour Last Chance No Limit Hold-‘Em Events to set up one of the most exciting wins of his career in the season ending Poker Go Tour Championship. Smiljkovic outlasted 6 select players in the final freeroll event to take home the crown and $500,000 prize money. He beat the talented poker player and American actress Arden Cho in a final table showdown. The German continued to wax hot, picking up another win and a Lion trophy at the Asian Poker Tour Taipei Single High Roller Event banking $ 53,620.
To date, Daniel Smiljkovic’s live cash money is estimated to be over $4 million dollars.
