ZSOP The Horse Awakens 2026 Ends with Yuanxi Chen Winning Horse Main Event
The ZSOP The Horse Awakens 2026 has come to a perfect close at the iconic CTP Asia Poker Arena in Taipei. Across the final few days, five players created unforgettable moments as the last five zodiac trophies were claimed, including Dragon, Ox, Goat, Rabbit, and the festival’s signature Horse.
The Final Five Champions
The winner of the TWD 150,000 Zodiac Dragon Super High Roller is a familiar face on the Asian circuit, Wutikrai Phraikhieo of Thailand. He outlasted a 35-entry field and won the top prize of TWD 1,775,700 (~$55,460), along with 951.48 points to his 2026 SPI Score. While impressive, it is still the second-biggest live cash of his career, behind his runner-up finish in the APT Championship (APTC) Ultra Stack Championship, where he earned his career high TWD 3,831,000 (~$124,904).

Two days later, the TWD 15,000 Zodiac Ox Last Chance – Win Big also crowned its champion. The event drew 208 entries and built a TWD 2,695,700 (~$84,452) prize pool. In the end, Taiwan’s Yu Hsuan Cheng emerged as the winner and earned 1,066.84 SPI points. This victory was not only another hometown win, but also a new career milestone, as he secured his biggest live cash of TWD 823,000 (~$25,705).

Like Cheng, Singapore’s Andrew Ong also reached a personal milestone in the TWD 15,000 Zodiac Rabbit Mini Main, which attracted 418 entries across two starting flights and built a TWD 5,417,300 (~$169,356) prize pool. Ong outlasted the field to win the title and his career-best score of TWD 903,600 (~$28,220) along with 1,512.36 SPI points, marking a new highlight in his resume.

In the final day of the festival, French poker pro Hugues Girard ended his run in style by winning his very first ZSOP trophy in the TWD 120,000 Zodiac Goat High Roller Last Chance. The event drew 44 entries and built a TWD 4,688,700 (~$146,797) prize pool, more than three times the guarantee. Girard defeated a strong final table that included South Korea’s Joonhee Yea and Australia’s William Jia to etch his name in the ZSOP history books and take home the TWD 1,667,300 (~$52,070) top prize together, earning him 990.35 SPI points.
