WSOP 2026 – Moment of the Day – June 14 – Negreanu vs Kabrhel

Let’s see what happened on 14 June, 2026 at the WSOP. To sum it up, it was a verbal fight between Negreanu and Kabrhel.
Although we are trying our best to provide as much diversity as possible in the Moment of the Day series, there is a person who could be featured here every single day of the WSOP 2026 . You’ve guessed it right: it is Martin Kabrhel . This time, the cameras of poker.org captured a brief conversation in which even the always-calm Daniel Negreanu lost his patience at hearing Kabrhel’s infamous voice throughout the poker tournament arena.
The Discussion: Negreanu vs Kabrhel
Kabrhel, who is well known for having intense, very vocal opinions on everything and most likely uses his talent to speak for hours as a strategic tool, is unarguably the most featured poker player in social media footage from this year’s WSOP.
This time, even Daniel felt like he could not stand it anymore:
The Result of the Conflict
Although the tension was obvious between the two, they kept it within appropriate boundaries, with Martin Kabrhel showing respect and Daniel Negreanu using an effective communication technique to resolve the conflict.
However, not all interactions go this way. Not giving away too much of a spoiler, but this will be covered in the next segment tomorrow – come back to see Martin again, this time against a fellow player who has way less patience…
My journey in the world of poker (and later casino, sportsbetting) started more than 20 years ago, when I first attended a low-stakes live tournament. I’ve never looked back since, and have been active in several fields, including being a poker player, a live tournament director, writing online and offline articles about poker, and managing the localization of one of the world's largest online poker rooms. Poker is my home ground, I could never imagine doing a job that is not a part of it. I hope someday I’ll have more time to play live; that's something I've missed in the past few years. A game where luck meets skill - what would be more interesting?
