Tony Ren Lin Leads Dwan, Tsang, Kenney and Tang in $100K King’s Charity High Roller

Tony Ren Lin and Elton Tsang sit atop the chip counts. Tom Dwan , Bryn Kenney , Danny Tang and Punnat Punsri were all among those who took a seat.

That was the field assembled for Day 1 of the USD 100,000 King’s Charity Super High Roller at LES A Casino , where 43 players produced 57 entries before the opening nine levels were completed.

Thirty-seven players advanced, with Lin bagging the lead on 1,470,000. Tsang is only 20,000 behind him, leaving two of Asia’s biggest names separated by little more than one big blind heading into Day 2.

Registration remains open until the beginning of Level 11, giving those who missed out on a bag another opportunity to join one of the strongest high roller fields seen in Jeju this year.

Ren Lin and Elton Tsang Lead the USD 100K Field

Lin took control during the early levels and had climbed close to two million chips by the dinner break.

One of his biggest pots came when he made a difficult river call against a raise, correctly picking off his opponent with a pair of queens. Lin later put David Coleman to the test by moving all in on the river, forcing the recent WSOP Paradise bracelet winner to surrender his hand.

Lin’s stack reached 2,089,000 late in the day before Yaki Sun doubled through him, but the loss was not enough to remove him from the top of the leaderboard. He finished with 1,470,000, equal to 92 big blinds when play resumes.

Tsang ended the night with 1,450,000 after making his own late push. One of his notable pots came against Dwan, who bet the flop and turn before checking the river. Tsang responded with a bet of 175,000, enough to make Dwan release his hand.

Gytis Lazauninkas sits third with 1,300,000, followed by Xiaobing Wang on 1,295,000. David Miscikowski rounds out the top five with 1,255,000.

Xing advanced with 1,180,000, Jinjiang Zhang bagged 1,115,000 and Samuel Mullur finished with 1,050,000. Dong Chen reached 1,000,000, while Paulius Plausinaitis closed out the top ten with 990,000.

Dwan Joins One of Jeju’s Strongest Fields

Dwan was among the biggest late arrivals, entering during Level 7 with a fresh stack of 500,000.

The American shared the felt with Tsang and Joseph Cheong during the closing stages. Cheong also got the better of Dwan in one pot, raising his river bet and forcing another fold.

Cheong brought more than USD 21 million in live earnings to the field, along with a WSOP bracelet and his position as the Asian Poker Tour’s all-time leading money winner.

The arrivals continued with Kenney, Coleman and Mullur. Kenney is the leader of poker’s All-Time Money List, while Coleman has close to USD 20 million in recorded earnings and won his first bracelet at WSOP Paradise in December.

Mullur, Wiktor Malinowski and Jesse Lonis were seated together at another loaded table. Lonis eliminated Punsri and Wai Kiat Lee in separate hands before the dinner break, while Malinowski later won a sizeable pot from Lonis with a large river bet.

Tang shared his opening table with Vincent Huang and Lee. Between them, the players entered with tens of millions of dollars in tournament results and extensive experience in the biggest Triton Poker Series events.

Aaron Zang was another major late addition. The Chinese high roller famously collected USD 16 million after winning the 2019 Triton Million for Charity in London. Ying Lin Chua also joined the field, while Lee returned after firing another USD 100,000 bullet.

Other players seen in action included Biao Ding , Quan Zhou , Haohui Ma , Lei Yu , Feixiang Ruan and Zhen Wang.

Punsri Fires Three USD 100K Bullets

Punsri entered during Level 3 but lost ground after Lonis raised him on the river. His first entry ended when Lonis sent him to the rail before dinner.

The 2025 GPI Player of the Year quickly returned for a second attempt, only to run into Zhen Wang. Punsri moved all in on the flop with an open-ended straight draw, while Wang held the nut flush draw. Neither player completed a draw, but Wang’s ace-high was already ahead before he paired his ace on the river.

Punsri then fired a third USD 100,000 bullet late in Level 9. That attempt was over almost as quickly as it began, leaving the Thai star without a bag at the end of Day 1.

Kenney also failed to advance, but both players can still re-enter before registration closes at approximately 14:25 local time.

The King’s Charity Super High Roller resumes at 13:30 with blinds of 8,000/16,000 and a 16,000 big blind ante. The tournament will then play down to its champion on Thursday.

KRW 880M KPC Main Event Begins

The KRW 880 million guaranteed KPC Main Event also begins today at LES A Casino.

The KRW 1.3 million buy-in tournament offers six starting flights, beginning with Day 1A at 12:00 local time. Regular flights use 40-minute levels, while the two evening turbo flights play 20-minute levels.

Day 2 takes place on August 2 before the surviving players return for the final day on August 3.

Jiahao Zhang Wins 595-Entry Mystery Bounty

China’s Jiahao Zhang has joined the list of early KPC Jeju champions after winning the KRW 1 million Mystery Bounty .

The tournament attracted 595 entries and generated KRW 514.1 million (~USD 351,865), comfortably surpassing its KRW 300 million guarantee.

Zhang collected the KRW 53,280,000 (~USD 36,470) top payout after defeating Haotian Dai heads-up. Dai received KRW 38 million, while Suyun Zhou earned KRW 26 million for third.

Danqiu Chen finished fourth, followed by Zicong Jiang and Yang Su. Punkit Loo placed seventh, Xiaofan Guo took eighth and Day 1A chip leader Jinsui Fan completed the final table in ninth.
