There was a tremendous turnout for the King's Charity Super High Roller of the King Poker Cup series in the Les A Casino at Jeju Shinhwa World resort, Jeju, South Korea, with 43 players ponying up the USD100,000 entry fee, 14 of who bought another bullet to stay in the running after unfortunate bust outs on the first day for a total of 57 entries.

Nine 40-minute levels were played with 37 players bagging their chips and continue the fight onto Day 2.

Tony Ren Lin, 3rd on the All Time China Money List, was ever his effervescent self, and his energy built him a Great Wall of Chips in the early rounds as well as the chip lead, which he didn't relinquish until the close of action with 1,470,000 logged to his name.

Following close behind is Elton Tsang, with 1,450,000. Elton is a virtual permanent fixture behind his more than USD 27 Milllion in career cash earnings.

Running in 3rd is Lithuanian Gytis Lazavninkas, with 1.3 million in chips, who is hoping that a strong finish at this tournament provides a significant boost to the chronicles of his career earnings.

Xiaobing Wang sits at 4th on top of 1,295,000 in chips.

And rounding out the top 5 is David Miscikowski of San Diego, California, US of A, with 1,255,000. David is recorded to have won more than USD 2.4 million in his professional poker career.

A notable late entry to the tournament was Tom Dwan, who although isn't as accomplished in terms of cash earnings as Tony or Elton, is one of the most popular players on tour, ranked 24th in popularity according to The Hendon Mob.

Other big names present were Bryn Kenney, the world's all-time money leader, Hong Kong sensation Danny Tang, 2025 GPI Player of the Year Punnat Punsri and WSOP bracelet winners Jesse Lonis, Joseph Cheong and Triton Super High Roller Main Event winner David Coleman.

Punsri and Kenney failed to find a bag at the end of Day 1, but they may still have chance to re-enter while registration stays open until the start of Level 11 tomorrow.

Xuanyi Wang was under the gun when he four-bet shoved all in for 205,000 following a three-bet raise by Bin Leng on the next seat to 100,000.

Wang was a late entry and was trying to collect some chips before bagging, but ran into a formidable big slick that could potentially end his tournament life.

However, the poker gods awarded the aggression with a flop of 6♥ 7♣ J♣

And while Wang hit two pair, Leng had outs with a flush draw. Sadly, the 5♦ on the turn and 9♦ on the river weren't cooperative, awarding the double up to Wang.

The rest of the table had folded to Tony Lin at the small blind with his Great Wall of Chips, who called and Yaki Sun with a considerably smaller stack at the big blind checked.

The flop came out 4♠ 4♣ 5♦, which Tony checked, Yaki led off with a 25,000 stab, which Tony called.

Tony raised on the 2♣ at the turn, Yaki bet 79,000, and Tony re-raised to put Yaki all-in, and Yaki gladly obliged as he was holding 6♥ 3♦ giving him the straight on the turn, and Tony drawing dead.

Wiktor fired a shot that was 30,000 heavy, and Jesse called to fight until at least the turn.

Punnat Punsri opened for 24,000 from early position. Zhen Wang made the call from the hijack and Ying Lin Chua made the call on his big blind.

The three players were shown a flop of 6♣ 9♦ 8♣

Chua and Punsri checked to Wang, who pushed a bet of 30,000.

Chua matched, and Punsri thought a moment before shoving all in. for 310,000.

Wang made an assessment of his chips and decided to make the call. Chua stepped out of the way.

Punsri tabled K♦ 7♦ for an open-ended straight draw, while Wang turned over A♣ 5♣ for a nut flush draw.

Despite not hitting anything, Wang was ahead with an ace-high.

The 9♠ turn didn't change anything, then the A♥ on the river paired Wang to make his win undsiputed. When the chips were counted, Punsri was covered and headed to the rail.

Wai Kiat Lee was first to bet with 13,000 pre flop from the low jack, and Qiangsheng Li from the small blind raised aggressively to 52,000. Lee called, and we saw a flop of Q♣ 3♣ K♥.

Qiangsheng led off the post-flop betting with 30,000, which the Malaysian called. A turn of 6♦ had both gentlemen taking pause and checking.

At the river of 7♥, Qiangsheng checked, and at this opening, Lee pushed in all 325,000 of his chips, and unchallenged, took the pot.

Huang Crawls Out Of Red Zone

Vincent Huang was left with 26,000 and shoved all in. He found no callers and scooped the blinds. In the next hand, Huang was under the gun and did the same thing, this time pushing in his last 45,000 chips.

Once again, he didn't find any customers and scooped more blinds and antes.

A few rounds later, a look back at Huang's table, showed that he has managed to improve to 140,000, getting him out of critical condition.

A few casually late entries have just shown up in the felt. Among them are David Coleman of the USA, Samuel Mullur of Austria and Bryn Kenney of the USA.

Coleman has nearly USD 20 million in total live earnings. Coleman recently bagged a WSOP bracelet in the Triton 7-Handed High Roller during WSOP Paradise 2025 last December, where he won a career best USD 3.1 million.

Low Betting Among the High Rollers in Early Level Play

With blinds at 2,000/3,000 at the 2nd level, play is still timid and nothing wild has yet happened at the 3 tables of the King's Charity Super High Roller.

Over at table 30, Xiaobing Wang tried to stimulate the table with a 10,000 bet from the cut-off. Jinjiang Zhang called from the small blind, and so did Ye Wang at the big.

The biggest buy-in event of the K Poker Cup series is officially on its way with 16 early birds ponying up the USD 100,000 buy-in and taking their seats.

Biggest Buy-In Event Kicks Off Today

The King Poker Cup series launches today in the Les A Casino at the Jeju Shinhwa World Resort in Jeju, South Korea. Running from July 28 to August 10, one of the early major highlight events is the multi-day King's Charity Super High Roller, which is the event with the biggest buy-in throughout the entire series at a whopping USD 100,000.

Some of the region's biggest high rollers are set to make an appearance in this event, which kicks off its first flight today at 16:00 local time. Players will be given a starting stack of 500,000 chips with blinds beginning at 1,000/2,000 and blind levels going for 40 minutes. There will be a 40-minute break after level 6 among other short breaks and then play will conclude for the day at the end of Level 9.

Play will then resume tomorrow at 13:30 local time with registration for the event still open before the start of Level 11, which will be tomorrow at around 14:25 local time.

King's Poker Cup will be waiving all personnel service fees and will donate 100% of that amount to charity.
