The Vietnam poker scene is undergoing a complete transformation. In a country where locals are largely banned from entering casinos, poker has found an alternate path to cater to the population, who have expressed an interest in the game.

What started in Hanoi over a year ago with the opening of Aces Poker Club (now shut down) is now spreading to other parts of the country. The model is similar: poker offerings are limited to tournaments, and players must buy a membership in order to access the game.

After several openings these past few months, mostly in Hanoi, but also Nha Trang, Pro Poker Club is now offering a legal option for Vietnamese people to play poker in the largest city in their country – Ho Chi Minh City.

Poker Pro Club is located at 147 TRƯƠNG ĐỊNH , P9 , District 3 , TP HO CHI MINH.

The following memberships are on offer at Pro Poker Club:

  • 1 month = 200.000 vnđ
  • 3 months = 300.000 vnđ
  • 6 months = 500.000 vnđ
  • One year = 800.000 vnđ

Foreign players and vietnamese locals are both accepted.

More openings to be expected

With a Poker and Bridge Federation now established in Ho Chi Minh City, additional openings are planned in the city.

In a country where players have been restricted to playing poker in home games for many years, this latest step really is a drastic and positive one for poker in Vietnam.
