Poker Dream 26 Makes Two Big Changes: Dream Bonus 3.0 and Lower High Roller Fees

Poker Dream has come a long way in Malaysia , and in less than a month, the tour will be back at its home in Genting Highlands for Poker Dream 26 Malaysia . Running from October 8 to 19, the 12-day festival carries a combined MYR 7,250,000 (~USD 1.8 million) in guaranteed prize pools.

Poker Dream 26 comes with several changes for players, including the new and improved Dream Bonus 3.0, lower fees across all High Roller events, and a schedule that brings back familiar Poker Dream favorites alongside some new formats.

Dream Bonus 3.0 Gives Players More Reason to Chase Another Bag

The Dream Bonus has become one of Poker Dream’s more distinctive features, rewarding players who continue to play Main Event flights after already qualifying for Day 2.

For PD26, the system has been significantly improved. Previously, the bonus calculation focused on the player’s qualifying Day 2 bag. Under the new structure, all bags are included in the calculation, including the Day 2 bag, giving players a bigger opportunity to benefit when they qualify more than once.

The value of each chip also increases for the third bag, while the bonus for the third bag and subsequent bags has been increased as well. This gives players who already have a Day 2 stack a stronger reason to keep entering additional flights and build multiple bags.

The changes are designed to make multiple qualifications more rewarding, particularly for players who manage to put together second, third or even more bags during the opening flights.

A Dream for High Roller Players

Poker Dream is giving its High Roller players a significant break on fees for PD26, with a new structure designed to reduce the cost of playing the festival’s biggest buy-in events.

All High Roller events will now carry an Admin Fee of just 4%, with no Staff Fee. This is a notable change from the usual fee structure on multi-day events, where players can often pay more than 10% in combined fees, including both admin and staff charges.

For players putting up five-figure buy-ins across several events, that can mean a substantial amount saved over the course of the festival.

12 Days of Action at Poker Dream 26

The Poker Dream 26 schedule offers plenty of ways to get into the action, from the Main Event and High Rollers to mixed games, Mystery Bounty and Ladies events, including a Ladies Main Event.

The Main Event features a unique two-tier buy-in structure: MYR 3,200 (play down to 10%) and MYR 4,800 (play down to 15%), while players will also have multiple opportunities to qualify through freerolls and satellites. This includes Sit-and-Go satellites for the Main Event, a format not previously seen in Southeast Asia.

Another standout on the schedule is the Team Event, which gives four players the chance to build points throughout the festival toward their team’s Final Day starting stack. Each team will receive customized T-shirts, while players can switch in and out during the Final Day. Time-out cards will also allow teams to discuss strategy, and once only three teams remain, players can compete together. The winning team will receive four trophies, one for each member.

For those planning ahead, Poker Dream is offering several Early Bird packages based on different player needs, including a new player package. Players who register for the Main Event through the Early Bird offer can get up to 25% off hotel stays, along with Bubble Protection and entry into a Lucky Draw. The packages are limited, with the offers available until September 30.

POY Races Set for Final Stop

PD26 will also mark the end of the 2026 Dream Player of the Year (DPOY), Ladies Player of the Year (LPOY), and Regional Player of the Year (RPOY) races. With no further events counting toward the standings after PD26, the festival will determine the final results across all three categories. The POY ceremonies will be held at a later date, where the respective winners will be officially recognized.

Defending DPOY Yujian Eugene Zhou currently sits well clear at the top with 11,512 points, almost double the 6,187 points held by second-placed Zhe Coco Zeng. With the race heading into its final stop, Zhou is in a strong position to become the first player to win back-to-back DPOY titles.

Zeng is also leading the LPOY standings with 6,187 points, while Wan Ning Tan  sits second with 2,146. With the gap between them, Zeng is also in a strong position to become the first Ladies Player of the Year.

The RPOY races are less settled, with Malaysia , India , Japan , South Korea and potentially Thailand still having players in contention heading into PD26.

With the season’s final POY points on the line, new incentives for Main Event players and a lower fee structure for High Rollers, Poker Dream 26 will close out another chapter for the tour in Malaysia when it returns to Genting Highlands from October 8 to 19.
