CoinPoker highlights Hyper Turbo this July
More fast-paced action is coming this month at revolutionary blockchain technology-based platform CoinPoker with another installment of its Summer Series showcasing a week-long schedule of Hyper Turbo games. Running through the 15th, two Rebuy Hyper Turbo tournaments are offered per day with buy-ins varying from ₮2 to ₮30. Starting stacks will see a boosted 7,500 chips with rebuys available any time your stack is less than that.
Similar to its previous offerings, an optional add-on will also be applicable for those who wish to receive an added 15,000 in chips. All games will follow three-minute blind levels with the late registration and rebuy period open for the first twelve levels.
Three random lucky players per event will also receive CSOP tournament tickets as an added promotion. Aside from this, those who play all ten events will automatically qualify for an entry into Event 12 of CSOP valued at ₮20.
WPT Global’s $100K Welcome Event sees huge overlay
The newly introduced WPT Global application recently celebrated its launch with a $100,000 guaranteed Welcome Event to greet its new user base with massive rewards. Carrying a price tag of $110, hundreds of players claimed their seats via the generous promotion of all depositing players being entitled to a ticket. In spite of this however, the opening tournament fell short of its 1000-entry requirement and saw a huge overlay of roughly 40% after the 18 flights in total wrapped up.
Following the festivities, a fresh major event has been added to the budding application’s weekly schedule. The Golden Weekly Tournament with a buy-in of CNY 550 (~USD 82) boasts a guarantee of CNY 688,000 (~USD 100,000) in an attempt to attract more runners to pursue their grinds on the growing platform. Aside from this, a modest daily tournament schedule featuring bounty events in majority is also available with buy-ins ranging from $25 to $550. Daniel ‘Jungleman’ Cates secures back-to-back wins
32 year old American pro Daniel ‘Jungleman’ Cates is breezing through poker headlines as he made record history after taking down this year’s $50,000 Poker Players Championship in Bally’s Event Center, Las Vegas. Having claimed the title in the event’s previous edition, Cates returned this year and successfully bagged the trophy and top payout of $1,449,103 after defeating Brazilian pro Yuri Dzivielevski heads up. The biggest mixed game tournament saw Cates landing the top spot for two years in a row, claiming a combined $2.4 million in winnings for his impressive achievement.
“Ok gang I’ve basically already won the Poker Players Championship. I’ve successfully duped my opponents into thinking they had a CHANCE!! Time to go SAVAGE on them”, tweeted Cates prior to his victory.
A good premonition by Cates, the industry’s reared best heads up pro secured his second World Series of Poker bracelet to date while boosting his total career-live earnings to a whopping $11.8 million according to The Hendon Mob.

U Series of Poker carries $500,000 in prize guarantees
Another series not to miss, UPoker is continuing the tournament poker frenzy with its homegrown U Series of Poker: World of Champions festival happening this July 17 through September 4. Boasting $500,000 in combined guarantees, the third installment of the online series features 11 Trophy Events with buy-ins ranging from 55 to its highest 800 for the 100K guaranteed High Roller event. A mix of single day and multi day tournaments complete the schedule along with a variety of classics No Limit Hold’em and Pot Limit Omaha for its highlighting games.
