Zengxiang Chen Leads Final 50 After Day 1B of King’s Main Event
Day 1B of the USD 15,000 King’s Main Event played out at LES A Casino , adding another heavy chapter to what is shaping up as a standout tournament on the King Poker Cup schedule. The second opening flight drew 97 entries, with 26 players securing a seat into Day 2.
Across the two completed flights, the Main Event now stands at 191 total entries, generating a prize pool of USD 2,681,700, with 50 players confirmed for the combined Day 2 field.
China’s Zengxiang Chen finished Day 1B as the overall chip leader, bagging 4,890,000 chips after a steady and controlled session. Despite having just over USD 100,000 in recorded live earnings, Chen now sits in prime position deep into one of the biggest events of the series, with a Day 2 run offering a genuine opportunity to redefine his resume.

Christopher Park sits second overall with 3,530,000. A familiar presence in Asia’s high-stakes scene, Park has more than USD 1.3 million in live earnings and remains one of the most accomplished players still in the field. Japan’s Ryuta Nakai rounds out the top three on 3,400,000, continuing a strong showing that included well-timed pressure spots and disciplined river play throughout the day.
Behind them, the leaderboard remains packed with proven names, including Dajie Zhuo, Seunghyun Nam, Matas Cimbolas, Yongjia Lin, Yi Qin, Takumi Odani, and Ryan Plant, all returning with playable stacks as the tournament moves into its next phase.

Day 1B Highlights
Action throughout the day was lively, with several notable pots shaping the leaderboard. Ryan Plant picked up a crucial double when his pocket aces held against Bin Leng’s king-jack suited, pushing him firmly into the top ten. Jimmy Guerrero also stood out with a sharp river call against Qin, correctly picking off a bluff to add valuable chips late in the day.
Several high-profile players made deep runs but narrowly missed Day 2. Taiwan’s James Chen fell at the final hurdle when his pocket sevens ran into Lin’s pocket tens. Hong Kong’s Winfred Yu also exited, alongside Yita Choong, Dylan Foster, Martin Sedlak, and Renji Mao, trimming the field down to its final 50.

NLH/PLO Results
China’s Tony Ren Lin took down the USD 10,000 NLH/PLO Mixed Event after a marathon heads-up battle against Hong Kong’s Tom Heung. Lin scored USD 70,000 for his efforts during the single-day event.
The final two went back and forth for an extended session, with multiple double-ups keeping both players alive and the momentum swinging constantly. Lin ultimately closed it out to claim the title and the top prize in one of the series’ more unique high-stakes offerings.
Runner-up Heung, a Hong Kong regular with over USD 1 million in career live earnings fought hard, but came up just short after the prolonged exchange, but still cashed for USD 42,300. Bubbling the money were third-place finisher Yuan Li and fourth-place Aerex Dariush, who both made deep runs but missed out on the payouts.
