Sometimes, the numbers do all the talking.

Day 7 at the KPC x LPT Series 2026 delivered a moment the festival will be remembered for. Registration for the Main Event is now closed, and the result is historic. A total of 2,030 entries were recorded, making this the largest field ever at a K Poker Cup series event.

Across six opening flights, the Main Event drew 1,509 unique players and 521 re-entries, pushing the gross prize pool to KRW 2,375,100,000. When the final bags were sealed, 224 players remained in contention for Day 2, with extra bonuses unlocked along the way.

In total, 26 players qualified twice, while seven players advanced through three flights, earning bonus payouts of up to KRW 17,000,000.

With all opening flights complete, the focus now shifts entirely to Day 2. Taiwan’s Kuo Chen Hung will lead the combined field after finishing as the overall chip leader heading into the next stage.

Day 1E Brings the Biggest Non-Turbo Field

The penultimate opening flight, Day 1E, drew 499 entries and ran for nearly 13 hours inside LES A Casino . From that field, 75 players reached the money, with 63 surviving to advance.

China’s Hao Ling finished the day as chip leader, bagging 850,000, the largest stack from the Day 1E flight. He was followed by Xiaqing Ji (684,000) and Jiajin Hao (648,000), both positioning themselves well ahead of the field merge.

Several familiar names also made it through, including Lester Edoc, Joseph Cheong, and Dylan Foster, all keeping their Main Event hopes alive heading into Day 2.

Bubble play saw plenty of late drama. Zhihua Yang exited on the bubble after his queen-jack was overtaken by Yiping Zhang’s ace-nine, while Yunchao Yu fell one spot short of Day 2 when his two pair was cracked by a turned ace, ending Day 1E with 63 survivors.

Turbo Flight Closes the Books on Registration

Later that evening, the Day 1F Turbo added the final 283 entries to the Main Event. From that fast-paced flight, 36 players advanced, completing the full Day 2 lineup.

China’s Zhenfang Huang led the Turbo qualifiers with 783,000 chips, ahead of Kai Hsu Cheng (568,000) and Chang Tao Wei (566,000). With the Turbo wrapped up, registration officially closed on the Main Event, locking in the record field and final prize pool.

Single Day High Roller Ends with Cheng Liao on Top

The Single Day High Roller drew 134 entries, producing a KRW 289,440,000 net prize pool.
