KPC x LPT Main Event Hits Full Stride After Day 1d
Day 6 at the KPC x LPT Series 2026 delivered another full slate of action at LES A Casino , headlined by the conclusion of Day 1d of the Main Event, the High Roller finale, and plenty more side events reaching a winner.
Main Event Smashes Through Guarantee
Day 1d proved to be the largest starting flight of the KPC x LPT Main Event so far. A total of 410 entries were recorded on the day, made up of 290 unique players and 120 re-entries. That pushed the cumulative total across the first four opening flights to 1,248 entries, with 909 unique players and 339 re-entries already logged.
With Day 1a (380 entries), Day 1b (322), Day 1c (136), and Day 1d (410) now complete, the KRW 880 million guarantee has been comfortably surpassed. The prize pool has climbed to approximately KRW 1.4 billion, with two more opening flights still to come.
Malaysia’s Eng Loong Choi topped the Day 1d field, finishing the night with 848,000 chips to lead the latest group of Day 2 qualifiers. His run capped off a long day that saw the field trimmed to 52 survivors, all of whom will return when the Main Event resumes.

Choi is a familiar face in the region and no stranger to deep runs in Jeju. Currently ranked 33rd on Malaysia’s All-Time Money List with more than USD 590,000 in live earnings, he picked up another notable result here after winning the GOP Super High Roller in Jeju last month.
His late surge came from a key multi-way pot, where he defended his big blind and applied pressure across multiple streets before shoving the river with ace-five to force a fold and take control of the chip lead.
Yongjia Lin finished close behind with 758,000 chips, continuing his strong run in Jeju after recently passing the USD 1 million mark in career earnings. Jason Li rounded out the top three with 641,000, adding another solid stack to his growing list of deep runs across Asia over the past year.
ITM and Day 2 Bubble
With 410 entries on Day 1d, the money bubble was set at 62 places, while only 52 bags were available for Day 2. The ITM bubble saw a double elimination, as Renji Mao was knocked out with ace-queen against Hui Liu’s pocket nines, while Sen Yu exited at another table at the same time. Both players shared the bubble in 63rd place.
Once the field reached the money, play moved quickly as short stacks fought to survive long enough to secure a bag. Several players picked up a min-cash but fell short of advancing, including Shenglai Zhang, Peng Huang, Yayun Liu, Seunghyun Nam, Feng Qian, Enzhi Shen, Mengqing Lou, and Chunhao Zhang.
The day came to an end with the elimination of Xiaotong Yu in 53rd place. Yu moved all-in from the button with ace-seven but ran into Lin’s pocket kings in the small blind. Lin turned a set, ending Yu’s run and officially closing Day 1d with 52 players advancing to Day 2.
Two more chances remain to join the Main Event field, with Day 1e starting at 12:00 and the Day 1f Turbo flight scheduled for 19:30 on January 9.
