APT Jeju 2026 Day 4: Superstar Challenge Breaks Record as Main Event Reaches 759 Entries

Day 4 of APT Jeju 2026 delivered another busy day at LES A Casino , with the Main Event continuing to grow and the Superstar Challenge breaking a new record.

China’s Liangqiang Pang topped Main Event Flight B as the tournament climbed to 759 entries with two starting flights still to come. Pang bagged 327,600 to finish second in the overall standings heading into Tuesday’s final two flights.

Away from the Main Event, Rob Hollink took the chip lead into the final day of a record-breaking Superstar Challenge, while Changliang Sun topped 96 survivors from the opening day of the High Roller – Ultra Stack.

Liangqiang Pang Tops APT Jeju Main Event Flight B

The KRW 2.7 million Main Event continued on Monday with 239 Flight B entries, including 206 unique players, taking the field to 759 entries across the OnLive flight, Flight A and Flight B.

A total of 98 players survived the ten 45-minute levels, with Pang emerging as the flight leader after building a stack of 327,600.

He was the only Flight B player to finish above 300,000, with fellow Chinese players Kanwen Du (279,400) and Zhou Lu (266,400) completing the top three.

Other players advancing included Mystery Bounty Hunter runner-up Jianfeng Sun (169,100), Gary Moon (79,900), Tom Verbruggen (76,500), Joris Michl (61,500), and Kevin Choi (38,300).

Several former and current Asian Poker Tour champions also progressed. Newly crowned APT Jeju Super High Roller champion Teeraphat Rangkatekarn bagged 38,000, while Dicky Tsang finished on 30,700 and Kitty Kuo advanced with 65,600.

The final two starting flights take place on Tuesday, September 29. Flight C begins at 11 a.m. KST, followed by Flight D at 6 p.m. Both feature six 30-minute levels followed by four 45-minute levels.

Late registration remains available through Level 11 of Day 2, which begins on Wednesday, September 30.

Rob Hollink Leads Record-Breaking Superstar Challenge

The KRW 37 million Superstar Challenge produced the biggest field since the event’s buy-in increased to USD 25,000 at APT Taipei 2024 .

A total of 51 entries, including 38 unique players, created a record KRW 1,785,127,500 prize pool, worth approximately USD 1.33 million.

Only 11 players will make the money, with a min-cash worth KRW 53,150,000. The eventual champion will collect KRW 451,777,500, the Black Stealth Lion trophy, and a USD 10,000 seat to the APT Championship Main Event in November.

After 14 levels, Hollink emerged with a massive 1,890,000 and will take 95 big blinds into the final day.

Fabian Gumz sits second on 1,310,000, while Natural8 ambassador Nevan Chang , listed in the official chip counts as Yu Chung Chang, is third with 1,240,000.

The star-studded field included Punnat Punsri , Tony Ren Lin , Joseph Cheong , and two-time bracelet winner Renji Mao .

Cheong remains in contention with 380,000 and has the chance to become the first three-time Superstar Challenge champion. Lin will return as the shortest stack with 245,000 as he looks to mount a comeback and capture his second title in the event.

The final day begins at 11:15 a.m. KST and will play down to a champion.

Changliang Sun Leads High Roller – Ultra Stack

The KRW 4.5 million High Roller – Ultra Stack also attracted a large turnout, drawing 283 entries, including 202 unique players.

That created a KRW 1,100,304,000 prize pool, with 39 players set to reach the money. A min-cash is worth KRW 7,500,000, while the eventual winner will collect KRW 217,934,000, the trophy, and a USD 10,000 APT Championship Main Event seat.

A total of 96 players survived Day 1, led by China’s Changliang Sun , who accumulated 1,540,000. Zong Jin Sui follows with 1,441,000, while the United Kingdom’s Jun Li sits third on 1,399,000.

Other notable survivors include former APT High Roller champion Martin Sedlak (1,071,000), Punsri (899,000), recent APT Incheon Main Event champion Stephen Pang (892,000), and former Super High Roller champion Trung Quan Nguyen (643,000).

The final day begins at 11:15 a.m. KST on Tuesday and will play down to a winner.

Shu Liu, Lili Tang Among Day 4 Side Event Winners

China’s Shu Liu secured his maiden APT title after topping the 91-entry JOPT-sponsored NL Hold’em Freezeout for KRW 26,821,200 (~USD 19,794). Liu also picked up a JOPT NLH Crown ticket worth JPY 250,000 as part of his victory.

Lili Tang added a third APT title to her collection in the Women’s Event – Heads Up. The APT Jeju 2025 Main Event runner-up defeated compatriot Qiaochu Zhang in the final to collect KRW 2,000,249 (~USD 1,476).

Elsewhere, Ruidi Yu claimed his second APT title in the Masters Big “O”, while Chuer Ni also moved to two career titles after winning the Women’s Event – Bounty. Chung Ching Cheung secured his fourth APT trophy, and Daiki Aoki continued his impressive festival by winning his seventh APT title and second of the series.

The remaining Day 4 winners were Yunpeng Bai , who won Event #40: Turbo – NL – Omaha Hi-Lo – Stairway to Seven; Yipeng Ye , who took down Event #41: Turbo – Win the Button; Bin Yuan , who won Event #42: Hyper Turbo – NL R-O-S-E-T; and Xiaoyu Ye, who claimed Event #43: Hyper Turbo – Super Hold’em. All four celebrated maiden APT victories.

APT Jeju Day 5 Schedule

Tuesday, September 29 shapes up to be another major day at APT Jeju 2026 , with the final two Main Event starting flights joined by the concluding stages of both the Superstar Challenge and High Roller – Ultra Stack.

Main Event Flight C begins at 11 a.m., while Flight D gets underway at 6 p.m. The Superstar Challenge and High Roller – Ultra Stack both resume at 11:15 a.m. and will play down to champions.
