Asian Poker Tour Unveils 2027 Schedule

After another record-setting year, the Asian Poker Tour (APT) has revealed four marquee stops for its 2027 season, with Jeju and Taipei each set to host the tour twice.
The year begins in South Korea with the APT Jeju Classic from January 22-31, before APT heads to Taiwan for APT Taipei from April 21-May 3. Jeju gets a second festival from October 1-10, before the season closes with the APT Championship in Taipei from November 12-28.
The four-stop announcement follows an extraordinary run for the tour, with eight consecutive APT festivals setting new benchmarks as fields and prize pools continued to grow across Asia.
APT Jeju Classic Opens the 2027 Season

Jeju gets the first date on the 2027 calendar, with the APT Jeju Classic running from January 22-31.
The ten-day festival already has its headline numbers in place. The Main Event will cost KRW 2.2 million (~USD 1,600) and carry a KRW 2.2 billion (~USD 1.6 million) guarantee.
APT has plenty of reason to head straight back to the island. The APT Jeju Classic 2026 Main Event drew 1,718 entries, becoming the largest international poker tournament ever held in South Korea.
William Li emerged from that field with the Gold Lion and a KRW 579,649,600 top prize, while the festival awarded more than KRW 19.5 billion in prize money.
APT Taipei Returns for Expanded 13-Day Festival

Taipei gets the longest spring stop of the new schedule, with APT returning from April 21-May 3, 2027 for an expanded 13-day festival.
The extra days come after a huge 2026 edition. APT Taipei 2026 became the largest non-Championship festival in APT history, recording 26,009 entries and approximately USD 19.1 million in prize money.
That included a 2,940-entry APT National Cup and a 2,354-entry Main Event, giving the tour another sizable benchmark to chase when it returns next April.
The full 2027 Taipei schedule, guarantees and Main Event details are still to come.
Jeju Gets Second APT Stop in October
Jeju gets a second date later in the year, with APT Jeju 2027 scheduled for October 1-10.
The island has become a regular part of APT’s recent growth in Korea. The latest APT Jeju 2026 ran for 13 days and awarded around KRW 19.4 billion (~USD 14.6 million) in prize money.
For now, APT has confirmed only the October dates, with the Main Event buy-in, guarantees and full tournament schedule still to come.
APT Championship Returns to Taipei for 17-Day Finale

The APT Championship 2027 will close the season in Taipei from November 12-28, giving players 17 days of Championship action.
At its center will once again be the USD 10,000 APT Championship Main Event Freezeout, which Poker Hall of Famer Erik Seidel previously called “the Asian Main Event.”
Championship titles will also be awarded across APT’s signature Lion Trophy events, with the wider schedule still to be announced.
Before that, Taipei will host the APT Championship Taipei 2026 this November, with the USD 10,000 Championship Main Event Freezeout set to return before the tour comes back in 2027.
More APT 2027 Details Still to Come
Four marquee stops are now locked in, with plenty more detail still to come for the 2027 season.
Full tournament schedules, structures, guarantees and online satellite details will be released over the coming months, while further APT announcements are also still to come.
