New TMTC Trophy Unveiled
For this year’s games, the organizers have unveiled a brand-new trophy — a striking new shield crafted from Taiwan’s own Incense-Cedar tree. This unique design not only symbolizes strength and resilience but also pays tribute to the country’s natural heritage.
In the video below, the craftsman walks us through the intricate process and the care that went into creating this one-of-a-kind piece.
Alongside the shield, the eventual champion will secure a healthy top prize in the six-figure USD range. Last year’s champion, Chiehchi Liu , won NT$ 4.5 Million (~US$ 141,433) with the prize pool lower than this year’s guarantee.
