China's Junjie Ren closes the final flight on schedule with a dominating lead into the Day 2 rounds. Ren amassed a chip count of 529,000 by day's end and stands to be the sole runner to breach the half a million mark.

Ren stepped out into the limelight following a smashing hero call against Vietnam's The Nguyen Bui by the eighth level of play, having bravely called down all three streets with ace high on a ten high board. The Chinese runner successfully delivered his opponent's elimination following the call, and continued to chip up with a sizable pot coming from Tom Henricus propelling him well above the field.

Fan Shi comes second in position, stacking a healthy 445,500, followed by Japan's Andrew Matahira with 386,000 and Song Wang with 381,000. All four contenders sit atop the overall counts, having bagged just enough to surpass both Day 1A and Day 1B chip leaders.

Yuancheng Zhu opened to 4,500 utg and called off Anthony Seiki's 40,000 all-in. Dominated, Zhu lucked out as board T♥ 6♠ 2♦ A♥ J♣ landed him a broadway straight on the river to turn the tables.

With 60,000 in the middle across board 7♠ J♥ 9♠ 7♣ 8♦ , action was caught on Wanyu Zhang with an all-in for Seiya Shoji's 29,000 behind. Shoji called off with a full house J♦ J♣ , yet was crushed as Zhang tabled quads 7♥ 7♦ .

Another all-in preflop situation saw Hao Yang as the latest casualty, having ran his 136,000 stack with Q♠ Q♣ right into Shuang Li's A♦ A♣ . Board T♣ 5♦ 9♥ 5♥ 3♥ steered clear of any queens, shipping it all to Li.

Meng Ling Lin open shoved her last 23,000 from the cutoff and was called by Zongguo Tian a seat behind. In search of an ace, the board Q♠ 5♥ 3♥ J♠ T♥ felted none, leaving Lin high and dry.

Tom Henricus opened to 3,000 from utg+1 and was met with a raise behind by button Junjie Ren. Lei Yu on the big blind, made it 14,000 to go, called by both.

Hao Yang opened to 3,500 from the hijack, called behind by Shuang Li along with the big blind. On flop 9♦ 4♠ 7♠ , Li called another 5,000 from the raiser and headed to turn 5♠ . Both checked it through to river T♠ , where Yang sent out a final 10,000. Li gave up the pot and threw in the fold.

Shiina Okamoto opened to 3,000 on the button, to which Peng Wu defended his big blind. Both checked flop 9♥ 7♥ T♦ through to turn K♦ , where Wu led for 6,000. Okamoto put in the call, and snap called another 17,000 on river A♥ . Wu instantly mucked, earning Okamoto the pot by default.

Hong Kong's Tsz Kin Heung claimed his maiden WPT Trophy at today's Survivor Bounty games after outlasting the 75-entry field. The thrilling format saw the field draw down to 15 players before the knockout prizes came into play. It took nearly nine hours of battle before Heung closed out the victory, having denied Jiaqi He a second series title. For his triumph, Heung banked the largest share at KRW 20,123,000 (~USD 14,390), and added five bounty prizes valued at KRW 400,000 (~USD 285) each, to bring his total winnings to a sweet KRW 22,123,000 (~USD 15,820) payday.

Facing a late position open and a three bet, Naoki Yashiro pushed his remaining 30,900 in from the small blind and was called by Qing Zhao. In for a flip, Yashiro bid his chances of the Main Event title goodbye as board Q♠ J♣ 8♣ 5♥ 6♦ ran in favor of the overcards.

Mingwei Li opened to 2,000 from utg, called by Haichao Zou behind. On flop 7♠ 7♣ 3♣ , Li opted to check raise to 8,500, yet tank fold after Zou bumped it up further to 18,500.

With 16,100 in the middle on flop Q♣ 8♠ 3♥ , action was checked to Cheng Chen, who bet 5,100. Initial raiser Gang Zhao put in a raise to 14,000, yet folded after Chen moved all-in.
