Jeju Poker Festival Opens with WPT Korea on Spotlight

The wait is over! The Jeju Poker Festival 2024 has officially kicked off this Friday, November 15th, at Landing Casino, Jeju Shinhwa World, with the World Poker Tour (WPT) Korea launching this historic series. Over the next two weeks, poker fans and players alike are in for an exhilarating ride as the felt comes alive with action from three major tours: WPT, Korea Poker Cup, and Red Dragon Poker Tour.

This inaugural festival promises to be one for the books, with a unique format that includes three prestigious Main Event offerings, making it a truly one of a kind poker experience. A total of 66 trophy events are set on schedule, circled around the three headliners which boasts KRW 4,000,000,000 (~USD 2.87 Million) in combined guarantees. Its first segment is currently in play with its first of six WPT Rings set to be awarded at today’s Single Day High Roller.

World Poker Tour Korea (November 15-22)

The first eight days across the Jeju Poker Festival lineup features global favorite, WPT, showcasing 28 coveted trophies on the line. Multiple events run each day, with players of different tiers sure to find something to their liking across buy-ins ranging from KRW 600,000 (~USD 425) to its highest KRW 16,000,000 (~USD 11,430). 

Opening day runs two exciting key events – WPT Opener, and Single Day High Roller, both of which are underway as of posting. The centerpiece of the series remains to be the anticipated WPT Main Event, which begins tomorrow, Saturday, November 16th. The esteemed games hoists the largest guarantee of all three Main Events, ensuring an exciting affair to be seen across the first week festivities.
