WPT Cambodia Championship ($3,500)

After five 90-minute levels, Day 2 of the WPT Cambodia Championship comes to an end with about 72 players remaining, and the big stack belongs to Daniel Charlton, who bagged 1,383,000 (138 big blinds). He's followed by WPT Champions Club member Dominik Nitsche with 1,303,000 (130 big blinds).

The full list of official chip counts will be released later tonight, but in the meantime, here's a preview of the top of the leaderboard:

On a board 5♣ J♦ A♠ 6♣ and 82,000 in the pot, Karan Sitlani bet 42,000, Daniel Neilson calls then they check the river 8♠ . Neilson shows 8♣ which is good as Sitlani mucks.

Victor Li has taken full command of table 9, entering multiple pots as he muscles with his big stack. The first hand starts with a loss against Thomas Boivin on a board showing J♦ J♠ 9♣ Q♦ 8♥ . They check the river. Li has K♦ Q♣ , Boivin has A♦ T♠ straight.

Three hands later, Li raises 16,000 from cutoff and is called by button Ryan Plant and big blind Jeremy Jehanne. Li continues for 20,000 at the flop 4♥ K♥ 6♥ and only Plant calls. Li fires again on the turn 2♦ for 72,000 and Plant calls. On the river 3♥ , Li shoves and Plant folds.

Now at hijack, Li opens 16,000 again,, cutoff Plant calls, and big blind Ngoc Ha Nguyen joins in. Like previous, Li comes out firing for 20,000 on the flop A♠ 5♠ 2♥ and only Plant continues to the turn 3♠ . Both players check. On the river 9♦ , Li shoves and Plant folds once again.

With the final board showing K♦ J♦ 7♠ J♥ T♥ on the river, Adam Friedman bets enough to put Xiaohua Fu all in, and Fu thinks for a while before he calls all in for about 130,000 with K♠ Q♠ for two pair, kings and jacks.

But Friedman turns over Q♣ J♣ to win the pot with trip jacks and eliminate Fu in74th place.

Somashekar Nahadeva checks the Q♦ 9♦ 8♣ 2♠ turn and then calls when Wonho Lee bets 45,000. They both check the 6♣ on the river and Nahadeva tables 8♠ 7♠ .

Lee has the superior kicker with K♥ 8♦ and wins one of the last hands of the night.

On the river of a A♦ Q♦ J♣ Q♣ Q♠ board, Juyeol Lee check-calls the shove by Hugues Girard for 128,000. Girard shows the Q♥ 9♣ for quads to earn a late boost.

Having lost a previous hand to be left with a mere 2,000 in chips, Jon Kyte is all-in preflop and so is Shmuel Bechor from the small blind against Lynn Gilmartin in the big blind.

Kyte's A♠ 2♠ needs help, as he is dominated by Bechor with 7♥ 7♠ while Gilmartin also has high cards holding the A♥ Q♥ .

The T♦ T♠ 6♦ T♥ K♣ board keeps the pocket pair ahead all the way and Bechor doubles for 266,000 while Kyte heads to the payout desk. Gilmartin's stack is cut into more than half as well.

Here is the first batch of eliminations since the Money Bubble burst, along with their payouts:

Daniel Charlton checks the K♠ Q♣ 2♥ flop and then calls a bet by Juyeol Lee from two seats over. The 7♦ on the turn is checked by both and Charlton then leads the J♣ on the river for 55,000.

Lee raises to 150,000 and Charlton folds, asking his opponent if he had bluffed.

"Me? Bluff? ... Maybe," Lee replies with a smile and the table erupts in laughter.

With the final board showing K♠ 8♦ 3♣ 7♥ J♦ , and nearly 400K already in the pot, Michael Gathy bets 180,000 from the big blind.

Yoon Kang thinks for a while in the cutoff before he raises to 470,000, and Gathy folds. Kang takes the pot.

Nariman Yaghmai raises from under the gun then shoves after Ankit Ahuja three-bets 46,000. Ahuja makes the fast call and is dominated.

The board comes 3♦ 7♠ 4♣ 2♣ A♦ , Yaghmai doubles up.

Guy Taylor and Neng Zhao go head to head that builds a raised pot of 42,000 preflop. The board proceeds to complete 5♣ K♥ 4♦ 3♦ T♥ with both players checking to the river. Zhao leads out 18,000, Taylor raises 55,000, Zhao calls, Taylor shows A♥ K♦ that brings a shock to the players at the table.

A short-stacked Mario Fata survives the bubble and then gets it in with jack-ten to find himself up against Dominik Nitsche with the K♦ 6♦ .

Fata has a lot of outs on the Q♣ 9♥ 3♣ flop but bricks the 2♥ turn as well as the 4♣ river.

Max Deveson, also a regular on the South African poker circuit, is likewise no longer in contention. The Brit recalls his bustout hand in which pocket kings get cracked by the pocket tens of Zijing Zhan.

From under the gun, Bobby Zhang is all in for his last 11 bb and nearly survives the end of the orbit until small blind Zijing Zhan calls to put him on the ropes.

It's a flip with Zhang showing K♠ Q♥ against Zhan's J♦ J♥ . The board improves both T♥ 9♠ 8♥ Q♦ A♦ . Zhan's straight dominates to collect all of Zhang's chips.

Somashekar Nahadeva raises and earns two callers in Neng Zhao as well as Guy Taylor in middle position. They check to Zhao on the A♦ Q♠ 9♣ and his small bet is called only by Nahadeva.

After the 6♠ turn, Nahadeva checks once more and Zhao bets 85,000 to receive the next call.

Last but not least, Nahadeva checks the 8♥ on the river and Zhao bets 190,000 to win the pot without resistance.

Zapatero Gomez goes all in for his last 35,000 and doesn't get past Hugue Girard who wins the flip. Gomez's A♠ K♣ connects on the board K♣ 8♥ 6♥ T♣ 9♦ however Girard has 7♠ 7♦ for the knockout straight.

After the elimination of Marc Joseph, the remaining 94 players are in the money. Here are the payouts they're playing for:

Not long ago, Xin Yuan was down to only 80,000 - ten big blinds in this level. He open raises and earns two callers to then simply push all-in after the Q♦ T♠ 3♦ flop from an early position. Marc Joseph calls all-in for 226,000 in the cutoff and they have to wait for all other tables to finish.

Joseph is ahead with top pair and top kicker but needs to dodge a lot of outs. One of them instantly comes with the T♦ turn to leave Joseph with two queens and two tens as only outs. The river is the A♣ and the bubble bursts.

At hand #5 of hand-for-hand, short stacked Tom Eady is down to 20,000 and goes all in holding Q♠ T♠ . He is in big trouble against caller Nils Pudel's Q♣ Q♦ . The board offers no help to Eady as it lands 3♣ 2♥ 4♠ J♦ 2♣ to bust two spots before the money.

The players now enter the bubble round with 95 remaining.

In Hand #5 of hand-for-hand play on the Money Bubble, Dylan Foster is all in from the small blind for 68,000 with K♣ Q♥ , and he needs it to hold to stay alive against the T♦ 8♣ of Sho Homma in the cutoff.

The board comes K♥ Q♣ 3♠ 8♦ Q♦ , and Foster flops two pair and rivers a full house to win the pot and double up in chips.

With three all-in showdowns on the stone-cold money bubble, Martin Sedlak is all-in for 255,000 and looked up by Yoon Kang. Their table is the last to run with one elimination and one double prior.

Sedlak has the best of it with A♦ A♠ versus Q♥ Q♣ and seemingly locks up the double on the A♥ J♠ 7♦ flop. The T♠ turn gives Kang four outs but the 6♦ river keeps the field at 95 hopefuls.

Xin Yuan opens big at cutoff for 50,000 but on the button is Shalom Elharar who three-bets to 130,000. After the rest fold, Yuan tosses the rest of his chips in and is flipping against Elharar.

With the board running Q♣ Q♠ 7♥ 7♣ 2♣ Yuan bags a reload but not before sweating it.

In the fourth hand of hand-for-hand play, Renat Bohdanov opens and Raffaele Sorrentino three-bets to 48,000 two seats over. Bohdanov then jams for 406,000 and Sorrentino snap-calls. They have to wait until all other tables are completed before the showdown proceeds.

The fifty big blind steal finds a fortunate ending as the J♥ 9♣ 3♠ 9♠ 2♣ board improves Bohdanov to trips for the double.

In the second hand of hand-for-hand mode, Daniel Neilson calls the button shove by Brian Green who is the player at risk for 146,000.

"I didn't look at my cards before, otherwise I would have tried to slow roll," Neilson jokes. They had already exposed the cards briefly before turning them over again.

Green's A♥ K♥ are up against A♣ K♦ and the J♣ 2♥ 2♠ 7♦ 7♥ board ensures a split pot.

A scan of the field during the break turned up 14 players with at least 700K in chips, creating an unofficial leaderboard:

The players return from break to begin Level 16, with increased blinds of4,000-8,000 and an 8,000 ante.

With 96 players remaining from a field of 750, the average chip stack is around391,000 (49 big blinds). The final 94 players will finish in the money, with a min-cash worth $6,400.

Action resumes with the start of hand-for-hand play on the Money Bubble. Two players need to be eliminated before the field will be in the money.

The field is playing five 90-minute levels today, with action probably ending around 8:15 pm, depending on the length of the Money Bubble.

Following a raise from mid-position, cutoff Ivan Karatayeu calls, big blind Dominik Nitsche three-bets 74,000, and only Karatayeu calls. The flop then comes T♠ 5♥ 7♣ . Nitsche fires 97,000 and Karatayeu calls. Repeat action on the turn J♣ with a large 250,000 bet from Nitsche, Karatayeu tanks then gives up his stake on the pot. Nitsche climbs to over a million.

With the turn showing A♣ K♠ Q♠ 8♦ , Dylan DeStefano bets 70,000 from under the gun and Ryan Plant calls on the button. DeStefano checks the A♥ on the river and Plant bets 180,000 after using one time bank to force a fold.

One last hand is still playing while the final break is underway and Jhon Hendri check-calls a second barrel for 95,000 on the 4♠ 3♣ 2♥ 8♥ turn by John Matsuda. He then checks the J♣ on the river and Matsuda goes all-in with the covering stack.

Hendri uses three time banks and calls to see Matsuda roll over K♣ 9♥ for a bluff. Hendri has that beat with 5♠ 5♥ for only a pair of fives and doubles very close to the bubble, as only 96 players remain.

With the board showing A♣ 5♣ 3♥ 6♥ on the turn and about 65K in the pot, Aurimas Stanevicius checks from the small blind, Ankit Ahuja bets 75,000 from the big blind, and Stanevicius check-raises to 150,000.

Ahuja moves all in for 477,000, and Stanevicius thinks for a while before he folds. Ahuja takes the pot.

Down to 99 players, all remaining eleven tables are balanced and the money bubble is looming near the end of the penultimate level on Day 2.

Martin Sedlak raises to 12,000 on the button for both blinds to call including Azizjon Rakhimov and Juyeol Lee. They check to the J♦ 8♠ 6♠ 3♦ 4♠ river on which Lee bets 24,000. Sedlak mulls it over for a short while and folds, as does Rakhimov.

Javier Zarco is all in from the big blind with A♦ K♣ , and he needs it to hold to stay alive against the A♥ Q♠ of Daniel Charlton, who is under the gun.

The board comes Q♣ J♣ 7♦ 8♥ 9♥ , and Charlton pairs his queen on the flop to win the pot and eliminate Zarco from the tournament.

There is some uproar on table nine as a large pot unfolds between Yunsheng Sun and Dylan DeStefano. With some 175,000 in the middle to the Q♦ 8♣ 6♣ flop, DeStefano is all-in and at risk for 278,000 with the K♣ K♦ .

Sun has him barely covered and reveals the A♣ J♣ for the nut flush. Instead, Sun spikes the A♦ on the turn to take the lead and leave DeStefano on the verge of elimination very close to the money bubble.

One more twist to the story is to follow, as the river brings the K♥ and that is also the reason for the uproar.

Catching the action on the turn A♥ J♠ T♦ 7♠ with 86,000 already in the pot. Paul Hoefer bets near half for 42,000 and Lynn Gilmartin calls. This brings them to the river 5♥ and Gilmartin checks, Hoefer fires 62,000, Gilmartin gives up her hand.

A player raises under the gun to 12,000, Yukako Hiroi calls from the cutoff, and Hugues Girard reraises from the button to 42,000. The UTG player folds, and Hiroi calls.

The flop comes K♦ Q♦ T♣ , Hiroi checks, Girard bets 30,000, and Hiroi check-raises to 80,000. Girard thinks for a while before he calls.

The turn card is the A♦ , and both players check.

The river card is the 9♦ , Hiroi bets 100,000, and Girard thinks for a while before he folds. Hiroi takes the pot.

On a flop K♠ T♦ 9♠ , Egidijus Digrys A♣ 6♠ asks for the all in tag and Martin Sedlak calls for his tournament life. Sedlak has K♦ T♠ but is not out of the woods yet as the turn lands 6♥ . The sweat ends with the river 9♣ .

With the flop showing K♦ 8♣ 6♥ , Sho Homma in the blinds check-raises to 40,000. Kevin Ewald then clicks it back to 80,000 and Homma goes into a brief tank. He opts to fold and Ewald flashes the A♠ T♥ for ace-high only.

Sherif Derias is all-in out of the blinds with the A♠ 7♥ and up against Daniel Charlton with the A♦ 2♠ while all cards are already exposed. The A♥ 9♣ 8♠ K♠ T♣ board gives both players top pair and the kicker doesn't play.

In a previous hand, Neng Zhao faces a raise to 12,000 and a call. He jams for244,000 out of the small blind and forces folds all around.

Renat Bohdanov then opens to 12,000 and Raffaele Sorrentino three-bets to36,000 two seats over for Bohdanov to call. The K♦ 9♥ 2♥ flop is checked to Sorrentino and he bets 30,000 for Bohdanov to call.

Bohdanov check-calls for another 85,000 on the 4♠ turn and checks the 6♣ river with 103,000 behind. Sorrentino lets his action clock run down to zero before he moves all-in and Bohdanov snap-calls.

Sorrentino flips over K♣ J♥ for top pair but Bohdanov doubles with the 9♣ 9♦ .

Supakit Anukoolpitaknil and Edgar Antezana call Aditya Agarwal's raise. On the flop 3♣ T♥ 7♣ , Agarwal continues for 25,000 and only Anukoolpitaknil is interested in seeing the turn 9♠ . Agarwal puts the brakes on and checks, Anukoolpitaknil fires 45,000, Agarwal gives it up.

Thomas Eychenne raises from the hijack to 12,000, Artem Vezhenkov reraises from the cutoff to 30,000, and Eychenne moves all in for 132,000.

Vezhenkov calls with 8♦ 8♣ , and Eychenne turns over 6♠ 6♦ . Eychenne needs to improve to stay alive.

The board comes A♠ 5♠ 4♣ 7♠ T♦ , and Eychenne turns an open-ended straight draw with a spade flush draw, but improves no further. Vezhenkov wins the pot with his pocket eights to eliminate Eychenne from the tournament.

Ankit Ahuja set the betting at 12,000 from under the gun, the blinds - Aurimas Stanevicius and Hayato Kitajima - call, then they all check to the turn 9♠ 9♦ 8♠ T♦ . Stanevicius leads out 14,000, Kitajma folds and Ahuja calls. On the river 7♥ , it is back to checking. Stanevicius shows A♦ J♦ straight, Ahuja mucks.

Dylan Destefano from cutoff makes it 12,000 only to get popped by small blind Adrien Berger to 48,000. Destefano wants to continue and calls. When the flop runs 7♥ A♣ T♠ , Berger fires 25,000, Destefano calls, and the turn is 6♥ . Berger barrels for a third time for 75,000 and this time, Destefano let's go of his hand.

With action folding around to the button Edgar Antezana, he raises 12,000. Big blind Deepankur Gupta calls then both players check to the turn T♦ 6♦ A♣ 3♠ . Antezana resumes betting for 12,000, Gupta check-calls to see the river A♦ . Gupta checks again, Antezana bets a light 15,000, Gupta can't resist calling then mucks to A♠ T♠ top two.

John Perry raises from under the gun and earns callers in Florencio Campomanes as well as Tam Truong.

On the T♥ 6♦ 3♦ flop, the action checks to Campomanes and he bets 21,000. Truong check-raises to 60,000 with around 80,000 behind. Perry moves all-in and Campomanes sigh-folds, Truong calls.

Perry rolls over the 6♠ 6♣ for middle set and Truong is in rough shape with 3♠ 3♣ for bottom set. Nothing changes with the K♥ A♥ on turn and river to see Perry approach seven figures.

On a completed board of K♦ J♣ 5♣ A♥ 7♦ with around 370,000 in the middle, Amit Kaushik checks. Yinghao Zhuo bets 240,000 when his action clock reaches zero and he has very few chips behind.

Kaushik ends up folding and Zhuo flips over T♠ T♣ for the broadway blockers.

A scan of the field during the break turned up 18 players with at least 600K in chips, creating an unofficial leaderboard:

The players return from break to begin Level 15, with increased blinds of 3,000-6,000 and a 6,000 ante.

The Action Clock is now in play, and will be in use for the rest of the tournament. Players have been given five non-transferable Time Chips that can be used to add 30 seconds to a decision. They will receive five more Time Chips on the first break of Day 3, five more on the first break of Day 4, and five more at the Final Table (9 players).

With 111 players remaining from a field of 750, the average chip stack is around 338,000 (56 big blinds). The final 94 players will finish in the money, with a min-cash worth $6,400.

Looking down at K♣ T♥ , Sho Homma defends his big blind by calling the raise of under the gun Narman Yaghmai. At the flop 5♦ K♦ T♣ , Homma check-calls his top two for 15,000. On the turn 3♥ , Yaghmai bets 45,000, Homma tries to trap with a check-raise of 120,000 but Yaghmai doesn't take the bait. Homma flips open his hand.

Just before the end of the level, Jon Kyte raises to 11,000 and reluctantly calls the shove by Thomas Eychenne for 67,500. The French player has a premium hand in J♦ J♠ and Kyte needs to improve with the A♥ 7♣ .

However, there is no threat for Eychenne on the J♥ 9♠ 3♣ 6♠ K♥ board and he survives.

Georgios Skarparis is not as fortunate as he sends his entire stack over to John "Bert" Perry in the very last hand before the third break on Day 2.

Artem "veeea" Vezhenkov arrives at his new table with two racks and a stack worth nearly seven figures. Paul Hoefer then raises to 10,000 only for Vezhenkov to three-bet big to 40,000. The four-bet shove by Hoefer follows and Vezhenkov calls with the A♠ Q♠ .

Hoefer is in trouble with A♥ J♥ but improves on every street equity wise on the Q♥ T♠ 4♥ K♣ 8♥ runout. The double is for 247,500 and that puts quite a dent into Vezhenkov's stack.

"Of course I know who he is, otherwise I would not have done it," Hoefer clarifies.

Hon Cheong Lee gets a shorter stack of around 60,000 in preflop with the Q♦ Q♣ only to find himself dominated by Collin Ho with the K♥ K♣ .

The K♠ 8♣ 7♦ flop leaves Lee on very thin ice and there is no miracle escape on the 4♠ turn nor 7♥ river.

"Just stop leave something for everyone else please," John Perry jokes as the red hot run of Shalom Elharar continues. From being a short stack an hour ago, he doubled once and then knocks out two players. Latest casualty is Yakiv Syzghanov in spectacular fashion when two pocket pairs clash.

Syzghanov's T♣ T♥ are behind versus K♣ K♠ and it remains that way despite hitting a set on the K♦ T♠ 8♦ 9♦ J♦ runout.

Yoon Kang opens to 10,000 and earns two callers in Michael Gathy and Azizjon Rakhimov, the latter of which is in the big blind.

The T♣ 7♦ 3♠ flop is checked to Kang, who bets 11,000. Only Gathy calls and then does so for another 40,000 on the 4♦ turn. They check the 4♥ river and Kang tables A♥ 9♠ , Gathy takes the pot with the Q♥ T♥ .

Konstantin Held raises to 10,000 in the cutoff and Ngoc Ha Nguyen calls in the next seat, the blinds fold. On the K♠ Q♦ T♦ flop and 6♠ turn, both check. Held also checks the A♥ river and reluctantly pays off a bet worth 30,000.

Nguyen tables the J♦ T♣ for broadway and wins the pot.

Shalom Elharar's rush continues with two more pots going his way. He three-bet Xin Yuan's min-raise to make it 23,000 to see the flop. Yuan calls and the board comes 5♦ 4♦ Q♦ . Elharar fires a 22,000 bet and Yuan quickly folds. Elharar tells him he had pocket Ten with a diamond.

Next hand, Elharar raises again to make it 18,000, action folds around and Bert Perry says, "come on, man, when is gonna stop." Elharar shows him A♠ K♦ .

Before their table breaks, Marc Joseph tangles with Sho Homma and they create a pot of nearly 150,000 to the 5♣ 4♥ 2♣ 8♥ 9♥ river. Homma checks and Joseph bets 100,000 with only a few chips behind. The snap fold follows and they head different ways soon after.

Kou Vang opens 11,000, Thomas Boivin makes it 25,000, then cutoff Adrien Berger drives it up to 52,000. After a bit of tanking, Vang folds and Boivin follows behind.

Eduard Burd moves all in under the gun for 43,000, Toan Chan Truong calls from the button, and Xuewei Li reraises over the top from the big blind to 110,000. Truong thinks for a while before he folds.

Burd turns over A♦ 8♠ , and he needs to improve to stay alive against Li's A♥ K♣ .

The board comes Q♥ 9♦ 4♦ Q♦ 5♣ , and Burd turns a diamond flush draw, but improves no further. Li wins the pot with his king kicker to eliminate Burd from the tournament.

Bert Perry opens 10,000, Eric Wasylenko calls it, then button Shalom Elharar three-bets 28,000. After the small blind gets out of the way, Mike Takayama on the big blind four-bets 52,000. This gets fast folds from Perry and Wasylenko while Elharar tanks for some time then decides to save his 87,000 chips behind.

Peter Da is all in from the small blind for 9,000 with 7♠ 5♠ , and needs to improve to stay alive against the A♠ 9♣ of Eduard Burd in middle position.

The board comes J♥ 4♥ 2♣ 3♠ A♥ , and Da rivers a five-high straight to win the pot and double up in chips.

After the chip leader Ivan Karatayeu opens from cutoff for 10,000, Peter Da on the big blind three-bets 25,000 and is ready to send it all in. Anticipating the moment, Karatayeu pushes his and Da bangs down the call for his tournament life.

With the board running 9♣ 7♦ T♥ J♠ 6♥ , Da happily rakes in the boost.

Micheal O'Neill is blinded down to a mere 50,000 when he jams for 50,000 from an early position. Shmuel Bechor calls in the cutoff and all other players fold.

"Don't show me bullets over there," the Irish lad says as he gets shown A♣ Q♣ by Shmuel.

"Alright, forty percent," O'Neill replies and reveals his K♣ J♣ .

"Put a papa on the table," O'Neill continues. However, his request is denied on the Q♥ 5♦ 5♠ 4♦ 7♠ board.

Joshua Figuerres is all in from the cutoff for 71,500 with Q♠ J♠ , and he needs to improve to stay alive against the A♣ Q♥ of Michael Gathy on the button.

The board comes 9♠ 9♣ 7♥ 3♦ 2♥ , and Gathy wins the pot with his ace to eliminate Figuerres from the tournament.

WPT Anchor Lynn Gilmartin is sitting on a very healthy stack and fuels in a bit more in a hand against Paul Hoefer.
