There were 347 entries on Day 1A of the WPT Cambodia Championship, and on the final hand of the night, Joshua Gebissa knocked out Daniel Neilson to catapult into the chip lead with 571,000.

Joshua Gebissa Catapults On The Last Hand Of The Day

On the last hand at his table, Daniel Neilson opens 5000, Joshua Gebissa makes it 18,000, Neilson four-bets 52,000, Gebissa takes it to 90,000, then Neilson says "I don't like it but I'm all in", and Gebissa snap-calls. Both players have about even stacks, roughly 10 bb difference.
It's a flip with Neilson showing Q♦ Q♠ and Gebissa with A♣ K♣ . The flop and turn are blank then an ace finds the river. Gebissa ships it and soars to the top of the counts while Neilson speeds off.

After a successful WPT Prime Cambodia came to a conclusion last night, we roll right into the WPT Cambodia Championship, a main tour event with a $3,500 buy-in and a prize pool guaranteed to be worth at least $1.5 million.
Last year this event attracted a field of 760, generating a prizepool worth $2,432,760. The winner was Konstantin Held, who earned $441,546.
The buy-in is $3,500, and players begin with 50,000 in chips. Registration remains open with unlimited re-entries until the start of Level 10, around 9:45 pm. Each starting flight will play 11 one-hour levels, with action ending shortly before midnight, and blinds levels will increase to 90 minutes on Day 2.
