PokerStars Live events follow strict and consistent PSLive rules to ensure the highest standards of game integrity. While the full rulebook is extensive, here are the key “Must-Know” rules for players attending the Manila Super Series 23:
- Big Blind Ante Format: Most tournaments utilize the Big Blind Ante format. The player in the Big Blind posts the Ante for the entire table. If a player is short on chips, the Big Blind is posted first before the Ante.
- Shot Clock (Action Clock): Expect the use of Action Clocks (typically 30 seconds per decision) in High Roller events and the deeper stages of the Main Event to maintain a good pace of play.
- Electronic Devices: The use of solvers or GTO charts is strictly prohibited in the tournament area. Players may not use mobile phones while in a hand, and devices must not be placed on the table rail (cushion).
- Immediate Seating: When moving tables, players must take their new seat immediately. Lingering to avoid blinds is monitored and may result in penalties.
- Language: English is the only allowed language at the table while a hand is in progress.

- Transportation: We recommend using exclusively Grab for travel within the city. Avoid unofficial “white” taxis, which often overcharge tourists.
- Safety: Okada Manila and the casino district (Entertainment City) are extremely safe with high police visibility. At night, avoid unlit, deserted streets outside tourist zones.
- Finance: The official currency is the Philippine Peso (PHP). ATMs are plentiful within the casino area, but it is advisable to exchange a small amount at the airport upon arrival.
