Masayuki Suzuki Awarded Trophy in Win The Button – Hyper Turbo After Deal

Just moments after the elimination of the third placer, a deal was made to give Japan’s Masayuki Suzuki the championship in (Event #19) Win The Button – Hyper Turbo although the champion’s prize went to the runner-up.

That’s what was agreed upon when chip leader Kevin Mateo of the Philippines knocked out fellow Filipino Mark Espela heading into Heads Up. In effect, Suzuki collects the runner-up purse of PhP53,500 (~US$960) while Mateo gets the champion’s prize of PhP82,152 (~US$1,470). Espela got PhP38,000 (~US$680) for his third place finish.

Chalk up another win for the Japanese, albeit in a deal.
