Always a popular variant, the PHP 1 million guaranteed Knockout [P5K Bounty] welcomed 88 entries to the felt, bumping up the prize pool to PHP 1,126,752. Thirteen runners clocked in a payday, leaving Oliver Richert one spot short of cutting a profit after failing to survive a race against Kornkrit Chaveewanitkun for his last four big blinds. Chaveewanitkun, who had a strong run, eventually faced Sangwoo Lee in the final showdown, where the two agreed to an ICM deal, with Lee securing PHP 124,652 and Chaveewanitkun a larger payout of PHP 140,600. Play wrapped up along with the deal with Lee settling for a runner up finish, taking an extra two bounty tokens from his opponent, valued at PHP 10,000. Chaveewanitkun, on the other hand, was awarded the PokerStars spadie and bagged nine bounty prizes, bringing his total haul to PHP 185,600.
Reflecting on his newfound success, Chaveewanitkun shared, "I feel very happy because this is my first time here in Manila, and I already won a trophy. I'm excited to play more events here and win more. I can see people here from around the world playing poker, and for me, it's a good start. They play very strong and tight, so I had to make adjustments to my play."
