Last time we covered you was at the KPC 1 when you finished runner up in the main event for you first live cash. Is Jeju your new dream destination?
"Yes! I come from Guangzhou, a city not far from Jeju Island, so the transportation is convenient for me. And it’s my second time playing in KPC, which I think is a very professional poker brand. I feel assured and comfortable participating in the Series."
Did You come back because of the run you had last time?
"Yes, definitely! Finishing in second place in my first live event ever surely has been a driven force to me."
We saw some great poker from you. Have you done any studying since last time?
"To be honest, I basically knew nothing about tournaments when I first started. So, I have spent lots of time studying, through poker videos and taking training lessons from famous pros. And I still keep doing this because I believe you can never learn too much."
When and how did you get into poker?
"I was introduced to some home games by my friend four or five years ago. After some time, I started to play cash games in Macao, and then went into the world of on-line poker. It was not until this year that I started to play live tournaments."
Are you planning to make it a habit and can we see more of you on the Asian poker scene in the future?
"Of course! A♠ long as I have time, I will play tournaments in China, Korea and Southeastern Asia."
At what point did you realize you had a chance at winning this?
"Well, I believe every poker player always dreams about winning a trophy. I think you will know when the time comes. It just hits you at the right time."
Do you have any poker goals you'd like to achieve?
"The one thing that every poker player wants - a WSOP bracelet. But I know it takes time."
